Disappointing experience this morning at the Downtown East branch. Whole 1kg cheesecake ordered for pickup today for dad's birthday. The cake is clearly not fresh -- not stale, but we've had this cake before and it's definitely not like this. Cake came apart in clumps (See picture. And, yes, we did use a proper cake knife). Poor service as well -- I think they're understaffed. The staff confirmed I'd made prior payment, handed me the cake in the box to check, and just left me. When I reminded them that I needed a carrier bag and candles, the staff just handed me a plastic bag to pack the cake myself (and never came back with the candles).

As I read through the reviews, it has always been the same problem in this branch. I ordered a breakfast platter being the first day of the year 2022 at 10.25 am. It did not seem crowded compared to Yakun which had a long snaking queue. There wasn’t seats available too. But it was a mistake. The drinks came and I do agree that the froth was a bit too much? Half the cup is froth? Someone was complaining about that in their reviews.My wife said the Americano was diluted. Waiting time was definitely long. I did not get the platter until 11.05am. But after waiting for 20 mins, I checked with the girl who seemed to be preparing the food but later discovered she was not. The people in the kitchen prepare them. She said they were preparing. 5 mins later I realized no buzzer was given cos I noticed others had one. I went to the counter and asked . She said I was number 3 and how do I know…they had forgotten to give the buzzer. she went to the kitchen to check and claimed they were preparing. Finally after 40 mins the platter came. I don’t think it is worth $12.90. Do not order this. I overheard other customers telling the cashier that the last time they came, they also waited a long time. Something is very wrong at this branch. If you have a choice, avoid dining or taking away here.

Promotion menu $10 for 2 latte and 2 omelette and cheese brioche valid from Monday to Friday opening till 2pm, very happy with the pricing, will go again if the promotion is still on

Me and my wife have always visited this place after work for a late night snack. Ordered the 2 for $12 combo set with 2 turkey egg and cheese sandwiches with hazelnut latte. The sandwiches are delicious, and the latte is just nice, not too sweet or too blend. We enjoyed our time in coffee bean every time we visited, and we enjoyed being there too.

Love the ambience in this branch diring weekdays as it doesn't seemed to be as congested as some other outlets we have gone to. The matcha latte was too sweet for my liking & I re-ordered another premium brewed tea to go with my salad. Love the service too as the staff were very helpful and even offered me a refill of hot water for my tea! I would definitely drop by again for more tea and try out their pasta during my next trip. Highly recommended!

Nice place to relax and talk with your friend. It opens for 24 . But sometimes it becomes quite crowded. They also have an outdoor place.

Love the recent renovation as it brightens the atmosphere. However, the ambience is destroyed by this one cashier who behaves unprofessionally and communicates by yelling. Also she can't be bothered to even take down the customer's name on the order cup.

Beautiful m, cozy space after the renovation. Good service from the nice staff. The only thing is lack of variety from the savory foods menu, and the fact that they automatically serve all drinks in takeaway cups even if you are dine in (you need to specifically request to have them serve in real cups). This generates massive waste daily. Businesses should do their part in sustainable practices. At least starbucks is making more effort.

Standard coffee spot, nothing crazy, nothing unique. Just a good coffee place that's clean and huge. I'd likely have morning coffee here, or meet someone for coffee here. But would I have my breakfast or meals here - not really, given the price and the quality of the food.

A clean 24 hr coffee cafe. Coffee bean did a revamp in all their Singapore outlets in 2023, I like it, the new colours feel clean and brightens the coffeeshop. One small thing that loses out to the "before-revamped" place: the coffee smell is not as strong / non-existent when I step into the shop. The smell is one of the pull points of a coffee house. Nevertheless, the drinks' quality is still the same and my go-to original mocha is still as good. So I'm happy.

No basic customer service from the branch 24 24 Jan 2024:Asst Manager Naz and the male malay partner. No crowd and saw me waiting at the cashier without acknowledgment. No sense of business and service. Did they passed their training at the Henderson training institute? I doubt so. 25 Jan 2024: visited the downtown east branch and relayed the incident to the shift manager. Surprising she was defensive throughout the conversation and defending for the wrongdoings of staff. Noticed that she was not wearing the name tag at the counter and also talked to me, I asked her politely why the name tag was not worn whilst she was servicing at the counter. She replied angrily that she was off duty and needed wear a name tag. After reading so many negative comments on the service of the outlets, reviews. Nearly stipulated and proved that there is a great service issue at this outlet. Good for the management and the district manager to look into it seriously.
