Got my iced Chai Tea Latte changed twice, still Barista can’t get the right concoction, taste is awful! our Cappuccino is only half cup while the other half filled with foam! Coffee bean at Raffles City barista way much better. And service at IMM rendered Without a smile!!! But, thanks to Rathe for coming over to the table and offer a service recovery. While Barista served the second one without apologies, looking snob behind the counter. No service etiquette.

The worst matcha, but very delicious sandwiches. It was not matcha at all - very sweet hot milk in green colour and huge mug.

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at IMM. Following the renovation, the outlet now offers plenty of seating with a lovely alfresco-style concept right inside Singapore’s largest outlet mall. Despite visiting on a weekday afternoon between lunch and dinner hours, the café was already about 90% full. What stood out most was how well the team managed the busy crowd. The young staff member handling hygiene and kitchen duties was incredibly hardworking and proactive, promptly clearing and sanitising tables whenever diners left. His initiative made it easy for customers to find seats and created a much more pleasant dining experience. I’m impressed that the outlet runs so smoothly with just a three-person team. Manager Tasha remained calm and focused throughout, efficiently preparing the bulk of the drinks at remarkable speed. She also helped with the cashier whenever needed. Meanwhile, the other staff member handled the cashier duties seamlessly while assisting with drink preparation whenever possible. There’s also a great ongoing soccer season promotion: two regular-sized pizzas and two iced Americanos for just $28. Considering that a single regular pizza from US Pizza costs around $18 after discounts and is slightly smaller, this is excellent value. Their pizza is surprisingly flavorful and addictive. And of course, CBTL’s Dark Chocolate Ice Blended still remains my all-time favourite.

At 3:27 PM, an Indian female staff member approached my friend and me, who were seated, and addressed us regarding the consumption of outside food and beverages. Her tone was notably loud and stern. While I acknowledged the presence of a Louisiana beverage cup and a cake box, I questioned whether I was actively consuming these items at the time of her intervention. The volume and manner of her address were, in my opinion, unacceptable, particularly given the public setting. I believe that such matters should be communicated politely to avoid causing embarrassment. Earlier, I had attempted to place an order at the counter, but the staff appeared to be occupied with a substantial order, and no one was available to assist us. I observed other customers waiting ahead of me and understood the staff's busy schedule, which led me to decide to be seated first. Nevertheless, I believe a more tactful approach would have been appropriate in handling the situation. Furthermore, she questioned another individual seated nearby about their order. Upon receiving an affirmative response, and noting the absence of cups or plates on their table (aside from a laptop), she proceeded to inquire, "What did you order?" The individual responded, "I finished!" This line of questioning struck me as interrogative and, frankly, impolite. I reiterate that a polite approach is always preferable. I am a loyal and long-standing customer of CBTL. I question whether my past behavior has ever indicated a propensity for consuming outside food, or if I have ever been perceived as uncooperative.

Visited The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf recently and while the drinks were fine, we were quite disappointed with the pricing. Compared to many other coffee shops and kiosks, the prices felt surprisingly high. One Americano was around SGD 6, and even a bottled water was SGD 3.80, which honestly felt expensive for something so basic. We understand every place has its own pricing, but it still came as a surprise compared with other options around Singapore. Overall, the experience was okay, but the prices did not feel very reasonable to us. We left feeling a bit disappointed.
