Happened to be around the area on a Sunday, needed a caffeine fix. Came across this outlet. Ordered the Americano and a slice of cheese cake. I was pleasantly surprised… the standard of coffee seems to be good here, vs their other outlets…(Vivo/ Chinatown Pt/ Plaza Sing/ Wisma etc) which the latter tasted more diluted. Cheesecake is standard thru out. Their cheesecake is more on the fluffy sweet side, similar to Japanese cheese cake… whereas Starbucks’ cheesecake is more dense, and more on the savory side. Place is not so crowded during Sundays due to the closure of office buildings… so it’s ideal for pple who value a peaceful/ quiet cafe for reading/ online surfing…

I visited this establishment during the lunch hour on a weekend. Typically, cafes can be quite busy during this time, but the interior here was noticeably uncrowded. This provided a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to find comfortable seating immediately upon arrival. I ordered a standard cup of coffee, which delivered the consistent and reliable taste that I expected from this shop. The brewing temperature was appropriate, and the flavor profile was well-balanced. Because the shop was mostly empty, the service was prompt and efficient, allowing me to receive and enjoy my beverage without any unnecessary delays. This location serves as a practical option for those looking to avoid the usual weekend crowds while still getting a dependable cup of coffee. The overall environment is highly conducive to reading, working quietly, or simply taking a brief rest during the middle of the day. If you appreciate a calm setting and standard, well-made coffee without the hustle and bustle, this cafe meets those expectations effectively.

Food menu could stand to be a bit more varied. Also the tea range felt almost lazy. Love that they have a range of options for the caffeine-addicted and the sweet tooth. Very easy to fall for their merchandise and the service staff are smooth operators with their inviting and warm nature. The aunty at the cash counter will remember your order after the first two times you order there, and autocompletes your order do you, so it’s definitely a step up from the Starbucks across in maple business city! Also I’ve sat here for 8jour long study sessions and have NEVER felt unwelcome. Lovely service really!

Had breakfast at cbtl and the ladies at the counter were very friendly and helpful. They advised what dishes would be best (for non-meat options). Both ladies were wearing smiles and greeting people during my time there. Nice experience!
