The original outlet and still the best outlet in my opinion. Somehow the other branches just dont grill the chicken the same way they do here. They have a new expanded menu now which includes indomie instead of rice. Do expect longer waiting times though.

I ordered the Ayam Taliwang and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The chicken was on the dry side and lacked the bold, smoky flavors that I usually expect from Ayam Taliwang. The sambal tasted rather one-dimensional and didn't provide much of the spicy kick or depth that would have elevated the dish. While the nasi lemak rice was decent, it wasn't enough to make up for the underwhelming chicken. Unfortunately, this meal did not meet my expectations, and I would probably try a different stall next time.

Travelled from Jurong West despite raining just to try it out after seeing reviews. Rice - Ok, not enough coconut Sambal - Spicy and good Ikan bilis - abit hard Otah - Spicy and good Egg - Good, not overly cooked. Chicken wing - Got the frozen taste, seasoning not enough. Pricing - Abit on the high side. Return to eat: Unless nearby and craving for Nasi Lemak. Maybe it doesnt suit my taste buds

Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang - Yishun Park Hawker Centre Having cycled from Punggol in search of a high quality lunch, Donkey and I visited this stall at Yishun Park Hawker Centre. Given its Michelin accolades, our expectations were high however, the Indomie Ayam Bakar Taliwang proved to be a significant disappointment, particularly considering the $8.00 price point. The proprietor was transparent from the outset, advising us of a 15 minute wait and ensuring we were prepared to be patient. There was some initial confusion during the ordering process regarding the various "mee" (noodle) options, which required me to show a photograph of the menu on my phone to clarify the order. While we appreciated the staff's honesty regarding the wait, the eventual quality of the meal made the delay difficult to justify. The dish was, unfortunately, marred by an overwhelming level of saltiness. It was evident that the kitchen had utilised the entire contents of the commercial Indomie seasoning packets. This rendered the noodles exceptionally salty after only a few bites, we were forced to abandon the noodles entirely. While the grilled chicken was tender, its marinade failed to deliver a standout flavour profile that could compensate for the poor execution of the noodles, resulting in the saltiness of the noodle overpowering the chicken. For a dish costing $8.00, a premium for hawker fare, the reliance on over seasoned instant noodles felt like a poor value proposition. To bring this dish up to a professional standard, I would strongly recommend that the stall limits the seasoning to a half or three quarters of the packet. This would allow the natural flavours of the chicken to emerge rather than being drowned out by salt. We visited specifically looking for a superior meal, but left feeling let down. Unless the seasoning is adjusted and the flavour profile of the chicken is enhanced, we would find it difficult to recommend the Indomie set, especially given the price and the wait involved.
