Above average Ayam penyet, portions are generous, chicken is crispy, the green pepper is quite flavorful combined with chicken. However foods are a bit dry and not hot - also served really fast so they might have been cooked beforehand. Not 100% sure if accidentally or not but one of us got stomachache the morning after the dinner here. Would love to see them have the food hot prepared next time.

Went here for dinner, ordered their new menu Ayam Serundeng and also ordered Dancing Fried Fish. The fried chicken is nice, well marinated and succulent. Crispy outside and still juicy inside, goes well with the chilli. The fried fish is nice and crispy too. Service was quick and ambience is nice. This time the food was served hot, so it tasted better. As sometimes they serve it not hot anymore (cold) and came so fast to our table, so it was probably pre-cooked beforehand. It would be great if the restaurant can improve this.

1. There was finger print on the plate!!!!! Major turnoff….. It’s the staff finger print cos i saw the way she held it… Idk isit oily or what la but i cannot accept this.. lol 2. Grilled chicken 3/5: Chicken was dry on the inside, sauce not very generous also! But portion was nice~ 3. also ordered their chicken soup which i forgot to take pic, that was nice!! Came with noodles too~ very hearty soup!

The chicken meat is tender and juicy; not much flavour on its own but pairs well with the chilli paste (pretty amazing stuff). The fried chicken skin is wonderfully crisp and tasty, but the sides and the rice are only mediocre (I've had better). For the price I think it's pretty good value on the whole. Worth a try.

Been here a lot of times but tastes and food quality of these 3 items never change. Always been very good 👍 👌 serving size is generous for its price. The oxtail soup is the best. Tried with other indonesian restaurant before but its not as good and tasty as theirs. Seldom we come where we need to wait long. Staffs are mostly attentive and helpful. Keep it up. P.s. just forgot to take a nicw photo before we eat 🙃 but we're always happy with it.

First time dined at this branch and it was definitely a pleasant experience than some other branches I have been to. The restaurant looked recently opened and the decor was fresh and clean. The order took a little longer to arrive on a Saturday before dinner crowd. The gado gado dish was a little disappointing as it was not thoroughly warm and they are stinging on the peanut sauce.

Overall quite a good experience at this branch. Food was delicious and service was quick and efficient. Although I thought the penyet at ria was better but this is pretty good as well just that the chicken was slightly less tasty. The soto tasted authentic but the soup could have been hotter. Potatoes were quite good as well. Overall, one of the cheaper food you can find at vivo and quite value for the money for this standard!

My go-to place for Indonesian foods. Located almost everywhere. Branches are a lot across Singapore. I love nasi goreng here. Also love their dessert: es teler and es campur. Other dishes are just OK.

Horrendous, waited 30 mins to have the food ready, the restaurant is not even half full. Didn’t even know how to prioritise those who have ordered and paid after their app is down. What’s worse, Sent my food wrongly to the wrong table. I told them I wasn’t okay with it, the lady just gave you an annoyed face, pretend to bring the food to restaurant and came back with the same plate of food. Your service sucks that’s fine, but now you have integrity issue. Your food is good but what’s the point if you don’t even have basic integrity

Ayam penyet is a popular Indonesian dish that consists of smashed fried chicken served with rice, sambal (a spicy chili sauce), and other side dishes such as fried tofu, tempeh, and vegetables. There are many restaurants in Indonesia and around the world that specialize in serving this dish, and they are often referred to as ayam penyet restaurants. These restaurants typically offer a casual dining experience, with a focus on fast service and affordable prices. The menu usually features a variety of dishes, with ayam penyet being the star attraction. Other popular dishes that are often served alongside ayam penyet include beef and fish penyet, as well as various types of fried rice and noodles. In addition to the food, many ayam penyet restaurants offer a range of drinks and desserts, such as iced tea, coconut water, and traditional Indonesian sweets like klepon and onde-onde. Overall, ayam penyet restaurants are a great place to try this delicious and popular Indonesian dish, and they offer a casual and affordable dining experience that is perfect for families and groups of friends.

Honestly, one word to sum up the food here: Average. The Ayam Penyet was just OK but I've had better, the chicken lacked flavour. My fried rice was also just OK, but lacked the taste of the "zi char" you would expect from frying rice over a flame. Satay was poor actually, i don't think they even grilled it over a flame, can't even seen the charred bits of a satay you'd usually find, completely lacking the BBQ taste. Their Bandeng Bakar (grilled milkfish) was just alright, same goes for the Ayam Bakar. The tomatoes they served on the side were hard, still quite raw I think. The self-service free chicken soup is just sodium overload so you find it tasty when hot, but after it cools I realized drinking it was a mistake for my kidneys. The Iced Chendol was decent, but the jackfruit they used wasn't fresh, I suspect they used canned/preserved jackfruit. Not worth a return trip to be honest.

Scan for order and pay online.. that's the best thing ever.. hassle free for all walks of life. When you're done eating, u can just leave the restaurant. But too bad for someone who really has cash only or doesn't even use online payment. Should have all kinds of payments.

They offer a good selection of indonesian food. Tried their signature ayam penyet. Extremely spicy condiment and crispy chicken, but could be better.

Ordered the tahu telur. The tahu tasted funny and its cold. It’s supposed to be hot and crispy. Despite us telling the waitress that the food tastes funny and cold, they sent it back to the kitchen to warm it with a microwave instead of frying a new one . Unacceptable. Other than that, the chicken was fine.

We ordered Ayam Penyet and Oxtail Soup together with a serving of rice to share. The servings were big enough for two person who plan to eat light. The food was delicious. Price was reasonable. Service is not the best, but acceptable. I would recommend this place.

[Feb 2024] Casual chain serving decent ayam penyat. They don’t go easy on their chillies, so their sauced and spicy food are through the roof kind of hot 🌶️ enjoyed the chicken soup that came with bee hoon/tung hoon. Ordering is convenient via mobile, it even shows how many orders are ahead of you. Service is fast even during dinner peak period.

Went in a group of 6 and literally everything we ordered was ‘enak gila! (Crazy good!). It’s guaranteed genuine taste of Indo, from spices to spicy and sweetness to tastiness. To top it off, various options to explore, so best go in a group. Personal faves being Pesmol and grilled milkfish, yummo! No complaints on the service, pretty much the standard of a mall restaurant, good thing they speak Indo, easier to explain stuff. It was crowded since it was Iftar time, yet we managed to get a secluded table, good for 8.
