First of all, the meaning of dancing fish is crispy until the fish can stand on it own. Secondly, nobody will put add $1 for rice....u tell me people eat their meal without rice? The fish and chicken is not crispy at all. On the other side, it is full of oil drip as it is not drained properly. The taste wise is below average but still eatable with chili sauce. 2 stars is for your chili sauce only. Lastly, the menu picture is totally different from the original food. You are the first ayam penyet that give me chicken breast quarter.

order beef rendang with rice. the beef was absolutely atrocious. it was one of the toughest i ever had and half of the portion was tendons, not meat. it’s so bad i’m not even sure if it’s due to quality of the beef or the cooking. the gravy was ok at best, a bit watery. my goodness, they should just take this off the menu totally if it tastes like this. not doing anything for the reputation. i certainly hope their signature ayam penyet tastes better but i’m not sure i have the confidence to try now.

Rating: I-won't-buy-even-if-you-drag-me-there Ordered Ayam Penyet as the store is called "Ayam Penyet President" and there are a number of branches across Singapore. First-time. And last. Ayam Penyet is $6.90, add $1 for the rice = $7.90 Instant regret the moment I saw what's inside (see photo). Eating it is even more of an ordeal, not sure why the tofu has a bit of a weird taste, the chicken is soft but dry, the fried bean item and rice is okay, and the fried "sprinkles"... I think Long John Silver's give more of those... and better. In short, I'm not sure if I want to eat Ayam Penyet anytime soon, this meal scared me terribly. And I'll make sure to take note of other branches in the future, gotta run while I can :p

Firstly they missed out on the fried tofu order and we had to order again. Then we bought 2 x ayam penyet and got charged $13.90 instead of $11.60, when I pointed out the mistake upon collection I got shouted at. Said that I got chicken with tofu and tempe instead of just chicken (the cashier person never asked if I wanted tofu and Tempe) and that I had to return the tofu and Tempe to get the refund. So I did, and the store assistant dropped the boxes on the floor, picked up the chicken and put it in another box. This same guy then slapped the counter very loudly, and said refund was made to our CC (we checked on the spot there wasn’t), before they finally refunded us cash. If you enjoy getting intimidated by unethical vendors while still having to pay for (unhygienic) food, come here.

It seems that Ayam Penyet President has a psychotic boss. The staff (Thai lady) said that her boss only allows her to fill the soup to be at less than half of the container and she would be reprimanded if she did so. Btw, I’m referring to the soup - not ingredients. I probed but she couldn’t answer because of course, she was just a staff following her lousy boss’ instruction. I didn’t want to make things difficult for her. Think twice if you wanna dine / work at Ayam President since their own staff has confirmed that their boss is cutting on the corners. 🥲

Bought two sets of Ayam Penyet plus steamed rice, total cost $17. Surprised to see the drumstick was such a small piece and it was even half the size of my palm. The old man who served me was also very unfriendly, I will avoid this place.

There isn't any cashier here. Even go to the outlet, must order through QR at the door. Didn't get any notification when my order was ready. Maybe it would be better to add this feature at least I didn't want for nothing in front. Price at delivery isn't much different compare to the outlet. Chicken was good, crispy but the crispiness won't last after few hours. Good thing, the chili was separated, order for my kids, don't have any remark to key at foodpanda.

This branch is the worst branch ever. I’m a regular on grab and yet the staff do not give belachan with my 2 sets of order everytime and always argue with grab delivery to not give any belachan. Read from reviews that this branch boss is so damn stingy and controls all the food condiments. Cutting corners to affect the quality of our food is unacceptable. Ban this outlet at all costs!!

Ayam Penyet dry. Beef penyet inedible, cant even bite the beef or cut through easily with a knife at all. Fried beef not recommended. Beef rendang watery. Disappointing food overall

We ordered from grab, for their grill fish. On arrival, I'm shocked to see there is only skin, and barely some meat on the side. They basically removed the meat on the body. This restaurant is a scam n unethical.

Does anyone in d kitchen know how to cook a simple plain white rice? Do you need to train your staff how to cook rice? Call outlet but line engaged all d way.. The steamed rice was hard as a rock. Is either it has been left overnight or not cooked properly. Grilled chicken was so-so. The quality of the food here has really dropped recently.
