Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with this one. Ordered the Thai Garlic Black Pepper Beef Rice and paid extra to add chicken. Went to the pickup counter, collected my tray, and while walking back to the table, I kept smelling this absolutely horrible bad-socks odour. I was actually looking around wondering, “Where the hell is this smell coming from?” Plot twist: IT WAS THE FOOD. Then I looked properly at what was on the plate and somehow it got worse. The food looked completely unappetising, the added chicken looked like it hadn’t seen “freshly cooked” in a very long time, and everything was served chilled. Amazing. Nothing like paying for a hot meal and getting something that looks and smells like it has been waiting around for retirement. We completely lost our appetite. Didn’t even bother eating it and returned the food. $34 well spent — for the experience of smelling it and returning it. And to whoever is leaving reviews saying the food here is “good”… please, I genuinely recommend checking whether your taste buds are still functioning. We left and went straight to Sanook Kitchen instead. 1,000 times better. At least there, the food actually looked, smelled and tasted like something you’d want to eat. Safe to say, this was my first and last visit. I will never step into this shop again.

I’ve been a regular here, honestly lost count of how many times I’ve visited. It’s not the most authentic Thai food you’ll find, but it’s got a distinct flavour profile that’s easy for anyone to enjoy, and the quality has stayed impressively consistent every single time. Accessibility is a big plus, it’s right inside Bedok Mall, which is directly connected to Bedok MRT. Pricing is a little on the higher side, but it’s justified: the set meals come with a drink, a main (rice or noodles/soup with meat), plus a dessert or side, so you always leave full and satisfied. Not the most authentic Thai experience, but genuinely one of my favourite go-to spots, great taste, reliable quality, and solid value for what you get.

Ordered for dine-in, but my order was mistakenly packed as takeaway. A kind makcik offered to help repack which I appreciated. Unfortunately, another staff member responded rudely and scoffed, saying they could “undo it and cook again.” The attitude completely put me off and I lost my appetite, so I just agreed to bring the food home instead. What made the experience more frustrating was that a customer who ordered after me received their food before I did, despite the 20min wait. Mistakes can happen, but customer service and better order management would go a long way. Perhaps less time spent chatting and more attention to customers’ orders could help avoid situations like this.
