Staff is very courteous and polite. The peanut pancake favour is now crunchy peanut with buttery spread. Used to be sugary peanuts.

Still open during CB period - they sell nice hot soymilk. No bubble tea nevermind. This is still good! They sell soymilk with pearls too

Wanted to try the new mala chicken bowl as i've heard great reviews about it! went to rivervale plaza to takeaway. there were 2 staffs working at the cashiers and 1 Assistant manager in the kitchen. Cashiers were taking their own sweet time serving. One of the cashier aunty was struggling to click on the correct order on the cashier. One aunty preparing food whispered to the cashier, "just tell her no more already". Asst. Manager came out from kitchen and told them that it is still available. (?????) and went back to the kitchen.. Cashier getting frustrated: "so what do you really want to order?" me: "mala chicken, still have right?..." cashier looks hesitant and struggling with the cashier again. me: "it's okay auntie. i don't want already" i guess the staffs really need more training and guidance on how to work on the cashier and how to efficiently prepare the food and serve customers....

irregular, crazy pricing of cakes across different outlets. app payment options also not standardised. changed usual peanut cake to chocolate colour and somewhat tasted bitter, not as nice as before. Quality control is also an issue. No wonder crowds varies from outlet to outlet

Went to the Rivervale Plaza Outlet on the 5th June 2022. Time was only about 4pm plus. 2 staffs on duty. I ordered 6pancakes. But was told Hazelnut short of 2pcs. I told them I can wait while they cook it. The cashier give me a sharp look and said, "no time to cook"! And told me to change to other available flavours instead. I was so shocked with the replied. No other customer during that time only me. But the staffs both being lazy. Disappointed with the service at this outlet.

I'm a regular customer of Mr.Bean but this outlet is terrible. Staff doesn't want to do the rice bowl or porridge orders just because they are understaffed. Is this even the right way? So many other Mr.Bean outlets actually does the rice bowl or porridge despite understaffed. I was so happy to see a Mr.Bean outlet here but was so disappointed. I left and did not purchased anything.

Have sore throat so I spoke kinda quietly, but the cashier didn't have to raise her voice at me and being all impatient. I was the only customer there so idk why she rushing me😭

Wanted to buy a bowl of porridge for lunch, staff curtly told me that porridge was sold out since yesterday so there is no porridge for today. Store is opened since 7am but nobody bothered to cook/restock the porridge, which was supposingly sold out since yesterday. Edit: received a reply from Mr Bean, so apparently porridge was cooked in a central kitchen and it is delivered to the outlets daily.. so apparently since the store's opening time (7am as per google) till 12+pm its seems like the central kitchen did not bother to deliver any for this outlet. Well played.

Rivervale Plaza Mix&Match Mr Bean. Was totally blown away with disappointment. Both these key items are the stronghold of the brand and yet not well respected nor prepared. After all the price hikes, the quality still nosedived. Not sure if we can still get an authentically fantastic bowl of soya beancurd or a cup of soybean milk that can keep hunger pangs at bay ?? The soya beancurd was not palatable and had to be discarded. Not sure if normal but consistency has gotten from tastily smooth soft silky to rough cakey without flavour nor taste. The orange sugar syrup does not complement is not tasty neither cooked till fragrant. The soybean milk is diluted to become a drink without fragrance. Soybean should be prepared onsite not made in main factory and distributed. So Is this a problem with the franchisee or with the brand ? Some years back same texture of beancurd was encountered @ the Tampines MRT. Ever since an episode of bad tummy encountered with glutinous rice balls in soya beancurd @ Sengkang MRT this recent purchase is after a lapse of many years.

I didn’t notice the missing $1 change till I reached home as my hands were full and hence I didn’t check if the change was correct. The phone number shown on the website is an empty number that can’t be called, and was not able to call back. It is an unpleasant experience, especially when I leave quite a distance from Rivervale Plaza…

This outlet is manned by a bunch of old folks. Honestly, I am totally all right. What's not all right is they serve Chinese first. I queued up and was first on line. Just because I'm on a phone call, the staff asked the customer behind me. Utter racist. 2nd time encountered same issue with them. Ordered pearly taro, never asked for sugar level also. Sigh. Very disappointed.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Mr. Bean stall due to the appalling behavior of the lady working there. Not only was her attitude rude and dismissive, but she also displayed a complete disregard for customer requests. When I specifically asked for soya milk without sugar, she not only ignored my request but added sugar to it. When I questioned her about it, she responded with a curt "thank you" and handed over my parcel, showing no accountability or willingness to rectify the mistake. This kind of unprofessionalism and lack of respect for customer preferences is completely unacceptable.
