Visited the Swee Heng outlet at Rivervale Plaza on 20 July 2026 at around 8pm. I ordered a waffle with half chocolate and half peanut filling (一半巧克力，一半花生), intending for the fillings to be separated into two halves. However, when I got back, I realised that both fillings had been mixed together instead. I was slightly disappointed but not angry and simply returned to the outlet politely to inform the staff that the waffle had been made differently from what I intended. I did not go back to create trouble or immediately ask for a remake. However, the Chinese auntie who made my waffle immediately raised her voice and repeatedly pushed the blame onto me, insisting that I did not explain myself clearly and questioning why I did not mention it earlier. At no point did I raise my voice initially or behave rudely. I only became defensive after being repeatedly blamed and spoken to harshly. What upset me was not the incorrect waffle itself, as misunderstandings can happen. It was the staff’s attitude, lack of professionalism, and the fact that I was blamed in front of other customers despite approaching the matter politely. I have purchased from other Swee Heng outlets before and generally experienced much better service, which made this incident even more disappointing. If there was any confusion regarding my order, the staff could have clarified it when I was ordering instead of making assumptions and later pushing all the blame onto the customer. Mistakes can happen, but attitude and how a situation is handled make all the difference. Unfortunately, it was not the waffle that left a bad impression on me, but the way I was treated as a customer. I hope management can look into this matter and provide proper customer service training to ensure customers are treated with respect.

Not sure if it only applies to this outlet… Any bread that contain egg or wet will usually spoilt at night and guarantee the next day. Their pricing arrangement is a mess, when making payment at the counter, they will tell you no promotion and I have experienced it not once or twice and we have decided to ban this store for sure.

Please educate your staff how to use cashless transactions. Their gadgets was down and your staff refused to let me leave despite showing her the payment has been made. Wasted my time waiting for her to boot up the ipad several times!! Can sell pricey bread but cannot upgrade your payment modes. Seriously! Baker Talent breads r cheap and good.

Cut ingredient and standard has dropped. 3cm tall minion banana cake ??? Is this the right way to increase profit by undercutting the customer ? Dunno whether to laugh or cry.😭

Bought coffee bun and the butter within it seem to be spoilt, tasted weird and cause my throat to feel uncomfortable almost immediately. Call the outlet to feedback and they apologize. Seem the quality control there is lacking.
