To be fair. Food and service was good. Only issue is the ordering process.i HATE THESE ORDERING MACHINES! Other stores have taps to wash hands after but this one didn't. It was clean enough although super busy

Worst and the chewiest burger. I have always loved marrybrown but this outlet never keeps fresh food. the chicken patty was made hours ago and deep fried twice before we even ordered. it was so chewy and difficult to bite. When asked to replace with fresh food as our food was served cold the staff just reheat the patty a little and served same again. No one took accountability and asked me to come the next day to see if manager is there. I will have to think thrice before going to my favourite place again.

3/10. I am genuinely confused by what I ate - why does my chicken taste slightly like prawns? That unexpected dissonance between what I'm looking at and what I'm actually tasting made this eating experience incredibly weird and unenjoyable. I don't think it's a tall task to ask for my chicken to taste like chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy though... but I unfortunately cannot recommend Marrybrown because something definitely went wrong in the R&D department to make their chicken be tasting like prawns. I also attached a size comparison between my index finger and the chicken; this is a seriously small chicken. I ordered a 'Large Chicken N'Chips Combo' thinking the chicken would be bigger but nope... I'm just not full from 2 pieces of chicken man 😞

It was off peak time and I was waiting for 10 minutes for my simple side dishes. The gravy was almost cold and chips was smaller than before. PH surcharge applied.

I visited Marrybrown for the first time in March 2026 on a Sunday evening for dinner with some friends. We were wandering through the CBD looking for something to eat and decided to give it a go. It’s in a super central spot, with the State Library just across the road and trams running right out the front, which makes it really easy to get to. We ordered using the self serve kiosks, with each of us grabbing our own meals. Price wise, it was pretty on par with other fast food places and definitely not as expensive as some of the more hyped international chains. We sat in one of the booths while we waited, and even though it was later on a Sunday night, the place still had a steady flow of people coming in and out. It felt busy but not overcrowded, with plenty of space to sit and eat comfortably. Our food came out in about 10 to 15 minutes. Overall, it hit the spot. My friends really enjoyed the chicken, and I liked the fruity soda I ordered. The burgers were solid too. I also grabbed a chocolate ice cream which was good, though a bit more icy than creamy but still tasty. They also had things like mash and gravy on the menu, which my friend tried and said was really good. The only letdown for me was the chips which were a bit plain and didn’t have much flavour, but still did the job. The staff were lovely, and the dining area was kept pretty clean by both staff and customers while we were there. I wouldn’t say it’s somewhere I’d rave about food wise, but for a quick, easy meal in the city, it’s a solid option. The location is great, the menu has a bit of variety, and it’s a good spot to chat, and hang out with friends.
