Very disappointing experience at Mary Brown's Dandenong. The customer service was poor, the restaurant was clearly understaffed, and customers were forced to use the self-service kiosk even for large orders, adding another 15–20 minutes to the process. The older lady at the front, who appeared to be either the franchise owner or a senior staff member, showed little interest in assisting customers or providing good service. The tables were also dirty, with no one cleaning them. I also noticed that, unlike other Mary Brown's locations, this branch didn't have the self-serve sauce dispensers (such as ketchup) available for customers, which was disappointing. I hope whoever is responsible for managing this location takes the time to reflect on the overall customer experience. Good leadership sets the standard for customer service, cleanliness, and efficient operations. If additional training or stronger front-of-house staff are needed, those improvements should be made. I also hope Mary Brown's senior management ensures its franchise locations consistently deliver the level of service and experience customers expect.

I used to really enjoy coming to MareyBrown when it first opened. The food and service were always great. However, over my last two or three visits, the service quality has noticeably declined. Unfortunately, today’s experience was the worst so far. I ordered two meals and asked for extra sauce because I was only given one. The staff member informed me that each meal only comes with one sauce. When I explained that I had purchased two meals, she responded rudely and said that any additional sauce would need to be purchased separately. At the first place, she did not put any sauce in my order, when my husband go and asked, she only gave one. I come back and asked for one more and she said I need to pay. I have visited many times before and was never told that extra sauce required an additional charge, so the interaction was quite disappointing. What upset me the most was not the sauce policy itself, but the way it was communicated. The staff member’s attitude came across as rude and unprofessional. While dining, I also noticed similar behaviour towards other customers. I hope management can address this issue and provide better customer service training, as I would love to see the restaurant return to the positive experience it once offered

Go to KFC…. Food half the price and bigger quantities. Tenders are smaller than my finger, chips with meal combo are ok but tiny portion, mash potato went in the bin and chicken pieces were all crumb, no chicken. What’s going on. You started out good. Now getting stingy. Over priced rubbish

Employees are very friendly and provide nice food. The building is also accessible for visitors and is easy to find (located by the entrance). The menu is up the front and is easy to read, as it is lit by light and is large enough that everyone in the room can see it. I would strongly suggest purchasing the ice-creams and tower burgers. However, what the store should try is provide more napkins. It gets messy!

I used to really enjoy eating here when they first opened. The chicken always felt fresh and hot, and the service was fast and polite. But that’s no longer the case. Since an older woman started working at the counter, about two weeks ago, I’ve had to wait at least 30 minutes just to receive my order, and her attitude has been extremely unpleasant. After that experience, I decided not to come back. However, today I chose to give them another chance. The chicken came out fairly quickly this time, but it was clearly old and cold. There were no napkins included like usual. And yes it was that same older woman again. When I politely asked for a few napkins, she looked annoyed, frowned, and silently pulled out only one napkin and tossed it onto the counter in a very disrespectful way. Not a single word. But guess what? For the next order, she handed out plenty of napkins and even asked if they needed more. Is this racist behavior? When serving white customers, she appears cheerful and friendly. Meanwhile, I was left trying to manage greasy finger food with a single napkin, as if it were some kind of charity. There will definitely not be another chance for this chicken shop.
