Overpriced and overrated. Restaurant prices at fast food quality. Fries were dry and flavourless, menu is very confusing and half the items were sold out (on a random weekday), and a sandwich meal set me back $30 🤯.

The place was packed even though we visited on a weekday. It took a while to place our order through the self-service kiosk because the queue was quite long. The wait was worth it, though. The meals we ordered were very filling, and the Raising Cane’s sauce dupe was delicious. It paired really well with the chicken. And don’t forget the toast! It’s definitely one of the highlights of the meal and completes the whole experience. Overall, a satisfying meal and a great option if you’re craving a filling chicken meal.

The wait is over! If you're missing Louisiana chicken or Raising Cane's from the United States, Flappy's is now in Melbourne! I love how affordable it is and the serving sizes are huge. Personally, this tastes even better than Raising Cane's. The chicken is super crispy, and gravy is included with your meal, which is a great deal. The crinkle-cut chips are a nice change too. This is my go-to spot whenever I'm in Melbourne CBD. The service was amazing – very efficient and lovely people at the counter. The self-service condiments really make you feel like you're in America. Love it, worth every penny! 🍗🍟😋 #Chicken #Melbourne #Foodie #Cravings #Restaurant

The staffs are the only thing that’s nice here, oine order and extra 35 mins wait even the website said finished, it’s not. The in store orders are even longer so if you wanna try, you shouldn’t feel starving at that moment. The original chicken was dry and tge flour was hard lol and super salty after dipping the sauce it becomes even more salty the Flappy sauce doesn’t taste anything except very salty and creamy. The hot chicken one is really oily outside but the chicken was so incredibly dry inside😅the fried is average frozen fried. For 16 aud you can get nice nene chicken or marrybrown or kfc( kfc for me tastes the same but juicier and more affordable 😅) probably wont go back

Flappys Fried Chicken Came in a bit skeptical after hearing mixed reviews, but on my visit it was actually very good. The chicken tenders were cooked really well — crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Probably one of the better tenders I’ve had from a chain, and better than a few Nashville-style places I’ve tried. It was a full house when I went, so to get that level of consistency during a busy period was a good sign. The gravy was solid (if you like gravy in general, you’ll enjoy it), and the sauce was your typical chipotle-style mayo — nothing unique but it works. The original recipe chicken tasted like proper chicken with a crispy coating. Only downside was the size of some pieces — a few were quite small and only a couple of bites. The crinkle cut chips were standard but cooked well. Personally I prefer regular chips, but these were done properly. Price-wise, around $17 for a 3-piece box is actually decent compared to other similar spots charging over $20. Overall, I came in with low expectations and left happy. It’s not somewhere I’d line up for, but definitely a solid option if you’re after good fried chicken. Tip: ordering ahead helps — I waited about 10–20 minutes.
