Had a really good experience at Ayam Penyet Ria Melbourne! The ayam penyet was delicious, especially the crispy chicken and flavourful sambal. The portion was satisfying, and the authentic Indonesian flavours really stood out. The food was fresh, tasty, and comforting — definitely a great place to visit if you’re craving Indonesian food in Melbourne. The service was also friendly and welcoming.

Ayam Penyet Ria never disappoints. The chicken is always perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. But the real star is the sambal—it has the perfect level of kick for anyone who loves authentic Indonesian spice. Quick service and great portions. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Indonesian food. Made fresh while you wait. Servings are generous and prices fair. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere chilled.

The service is good, wait time isn't long, considering peak hours (about 15mins). The place is clean, good exhaust, the air doesn't smell greasy. Prices are reasonable. 5% disc for cash payment. Card payments come with charges. The place is small, not toilet. Outdoor seating available. Real plates and cutlery. Refillable tap water in plastic cups. The food tastes good, but the sambal is so so. The ribs are mostly boneless, very worth it. The music is nice, not too loud, and thr ambient it good.
