Subway sandwiches restaurant at City Gate #01-33 is smaller and dining in even though is allowed by the covid 19 easing of dining in , tables are less then 1 metres apart. There is only one staff on duty. So customers will need to wait in queue and standing on floor markers and patiently wait. The food hygiene is good. Food ingredients are fresh. But certain sandwich does runs out if there are alot of customers. Its best for the management of Subway at City Gate to get another unit at City Gate or within walking distance. At kitchener complex at block 809. There is another subway restaurant outlet. This outlet have more then one staff serving customers. Fast good service. The City Gate Subway at #01-33 is like a cafe setting. Service are slow and customers must have patience to wait in queue.

Opening hours stated as 8am. Came here at 8.37am and your staff tells me she is "not ready". I'm rushing to get to work at 9am and she only served me at 8.45am. I would have left had there been other options. But Citygate obviously has limited choices. Please look into adjusting your opening hours if you cannot cater to it.

Kept wondering why no rich Indonesians bother to buy the franchise and open Subway outlet here in the country. Perhaps there are underlying problems but I don't think it matters bcos Subway is halal certified. Anyway, it's the best sub sandwich outlet. I don't need to describe the menu since I believe everybody knows. This one on Beach St is good. The employees are friendly and helpful, they're so kind. The place is cozy, you can work/study from here. Nice, comfy and quiet.

Ordered Friday's Special - Teriyaki Chicken Sub (Comes with 16oz Drink) $6.90 After spending some time checking their stock, the Male Boss comes back and tell me Sorry Teriyaki Chicken No more leh, if change to Bulgogi Chicken can? Korean flavour very nice also. While preparing the sub halfway, i asked this one comes with Drink and Cookie right? He replied no leh, our bulgogi chicken is $7. This one need add $3+ for meal. If not for his recommendation to replace me with bulgogi chicken instead as an apology for their Fri's Special Out Of Stock. I would have gotten another kind of sub. Now i paid $7 for just 1 sub which is not my own selection. When i could have gotten Teriyaki Chicken Sub + 1 drink for only $6.90. Total bad experience for this subway outlet.

The bald staff will ask you to leave if you don’t get any food. The restaurant has no one and I do get cookies before while waiting for someone

I have always stuck to the $6.50 value meals, but today I thought why not try something else for a change? Big mistake. Spent $11.30 on sub-par subway 6 inch sandwich that left me hungrier than before I had eaten it. I mean I paid nearly twice as much to get less food ( the value meal includes a drink and cookie as well as a same sized sandwich), so of course my wallet'll be left starving. My two cents, just stick to the value meals and avoid everything else on the menu.
