Zhongshan Mall is a convenient neighborhood stop with a decent mix of everyday essentials. I liked that NTUC Finest is there, along with a food court, a few eateries, and practical spots like Guardian and a dental clinic. It’s not a place I’d go out of my way for, but for locals nearby it works well for errands and a quick meal.

Zhongshang Mall is small and compacted. I went there because I wanted to visit the Mr. DIY shop to find some household necessity and to grab a meal since it was noon. There are bus from Toa Pa Yoh, Novena, and Braddell MRT Station. The bus stops are just outside the mall (in front and opposite), but they are right after the traffic light and the wait is quite long to alight/board, or to cross the road. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered traffic light as close to a bus stop before. We checked the Food Fair, but since it was quite early, the choices were no appealing and the prices are more on the higher side. There are a few smaller F&B places including a Mc Donalds, but we decided just to eat somewhere else. The second story has Mr.DIY and Fair Price Finest, but I think that’s all. There are some education center on the upper story. It’s a decent enough neighborhood mall for important necessity, not for people who look for spending time in the mall or things like clothing, electronic, etc. Zhongshang Park is located nearby.

We came because one of our favourite outlet is here..heheh.. Looking from the external facade, the whole place is rather huge. But just in case for those who are not aware, the mall mentioned is only 2 storey tall. Lets dive in! Location: This mall is located on Ah Hood Road and designed within an office commercial setting and a residential building. The whole big building is shared to accommodate between Hiap Hoe and Aloft Hotels. Many first time drivers often enter the wrong parking area, thus we would recommend to look for the road towards a basement. It will help to narrow the search on where to find parking. Amenities: As mentioned, a favourite outlet of ours is in this mall. There are lots of food and various type of shops, which is serving both the commerical and residential aspect of the building. Despite being small size of only 2 storey tall, it is rather complete with the required shops. Upkeep: From the point we entered till we exited, we were actually impressed. The whole place looked clean and well managed. This is something that many malls tend to drop due to size and high footfall. All in all, we need to share that this is not a usual mall that one goes to for shopping leisurely like Causeway Point. In fact, this mall was designed as a small hub dedicated to ensure its residents and workers get the required attention. But we observed that, this mall will definitely attract many others around too. So yeah, a recommendation from us as it is actually clean and well managed. And ya, we are pretty sure you guys will know what outlet we love to go to, from our photos. Cheers!

Convent and everything close by! I was staying at Loft for a night to transit long layover in Singapore. My friend came to see me and had a breakfast together there! Tasty and fast!
