Hougang Mall branch - This was the portion of chicken they gave me during dinner. I also ordered two portion of eggplant but only one portion was served. I have been a regular and the portion is different when I buy it during lunch. It’s not my first time the portion was reduced.

The stall operating model has changed since Hougang Mall's renovation, or at least based on what I observed. Previously it was based on serve and order, meaning they will prepare a current order before serving the next customer. But now they separated the ordering and the preparing, which flooded the staff with orders from kiosks, qr code and grab orders. This has created a horde of customers crowding outside the stall, waiting for their orders to be called. Without any form of remote notification like SMS or Whatsapp, customers just have to hang around or to walk in and out till their orders are ready. If they want to adopt such a model, I suggest they learn from wokhey- which has a good notification system which preps the customer on when their order is ready, so that I can order and wait while attending to other things. Or they can put a sign like what they did previously, inform customers on the expected waiting time before they start to order.
