Came here in a large group of 10, thankfully managed to have a long table reserved for us. However, the air-con wasn’t working properly in fact overheard staff saying one of the units have broken down. Please have this rectified as it creates a really warm and stuffy atmosphere in the enclosed dining area. Food - mediocre. I didn’t have the rice dishes but feedback from other family members was that the taste does not meet their expectations. I only had Mee Soto and even so i felt it was passable. I expected more, especially when the quality is far exceeded at Kandahar outlet. Drink counter - this one i think needs major improvement. Please make a second queue or demarcate a line for those who only need to buy drinks/kuih muih. Also please place the kuih muih at the other section under Desserts for easy access. When we came, kuih are placed in front along the glass panel display. Those who want to grab kuih only would be joining the main queue (for food). It doesn’t feel nice to “jump” queue at the cashier just to make an order for kuih/drinks. Collection point is also a big confusion, orders are being called but unsure whose it belongs to. Maybe have a queue display system for collecting food. Overall, the queue management is truly disorganised. Ambience - relatively cosy and adequate as there was a prayer room provided for, sinks for washing hands however it was horribly dirty. There is also a rule that you have to return your trays after your meal, however it wasn’t made known to us as we assumed this was a restaurant establishment, nonetheless we cleaned after ourselves once the staff alerted us to do so. Perhaps consider putting out a clear sign for this.

Well, this is the only minangnese good I’ve tried in SG, so I can’t compare to anything. But, i can assure you the taste was quite authentic to the ones I’ve had in indonesia. Everything was so good. All friends loved all the dishes as well. I will def come back if i miss indonesian food haha. Don’t have much to say coz everything equally stood out. Price is reasonable too.

First visit here and was looking forward after checking out the menu online, with Indomie and Tahu telor included. Went to the counter and asked where the food menu was so our children can view it and make their own decision because all we saw was the drink menu. Lady at counter replied "No menu, all here (pointing to the dishes to eat with rice) and breakfast menu." I had to ask what the breakfast menu was cos she thought I could read her mind?? "Mee soto, mee rebus.." Our children settled for mee soto and we ordered our drinks. I guess the Indomie and Tahu telor menu was not sold at this RM outlet. Husband and I proceeded to select our dishes to eat with rice. Oh dear, the horror! The trays were one third filled. There was no menu for pricing reference so the bill will be a happy surprise later on. Its not like buying clothes where you can decide to omit a piece before payment. The dishes is played directly on the place, no returns. Have some decency pls, spend money to put a menu. Other nasi padang places proudly display their prices on printed menu. Expensive or affordable, atleast the buyer knows what they are getting themselves into when ordering. The receipt printed the food items so nicely with flair, but couldn't afford transparent pricing before the buyer could order. Oh wells~ Made payment and lady at counter informed mee soto to be collected at Collection Point. We took our drinks and sat down. Saw other tables having tahu telor and ikan botok. Then saw the TV with other menu items - Indomie, Ikan botok, tahu telor. One menu item every 3 seconds. You can prepare such nice slides/video but no decent straightforward menu?? Another big disappointment. 10 minutes in, mee soto still not ready. Even school canteen can prepare food much faster. Husband went to the counter again. Team Leader asked him what he needed. He replied, "I ordered two mee soto." Team Leader asked "Eating here?" Husband said yes. Team Leader asked the lady who took our order and turns out, the order was not even communicated to the back kitchen to prepare? Speechless. No initiative, no mood to work, not even trying to sell what the shop has to offer when there is no menu, she couldve shared verbally right?? Why be employed in the first place? With such ignorance, why bother working in service line? Mee soto delivered within 5 mins. We ate, left the place and promised we will never come back. Goodbye.

We came on a Sunday 14th Sept. Found seats for 4 and sat down. Looked for a menu and was told there's isnt any menu and we can just choose from whats available. We ordered 2 sets of nasi padang and 2 mee soto. Brought the 2 nasi to the table and waited for the 2 mee soto. After a while, went to the counter and saw every staffs doing their own thing. When i asked about the mee soto, THEN they initiate to make. Major turn off. We also realised, after seating down, that there are more type of food being served, just by watching whats shown on the tv. There's also a tv which is showing the numbers for customers who is waiting for their food. WHY nobody told us about this? Its clear that the staffs working on a weekend is not keen to work. It's like they were forced to work. The guy with the red tshirt and have the word Team Leader at the back, He was doing almost everything. Pity him but i guess it's just that the other staffs wouldnt care. This long post is how much i will mention that this is the first and the last that we come here to eat. Such wonderful service. not. This review is edited after i read all the 1 star reviews. Almost the same experiences. I should have read those 1 star reviews before coming here. Also, luckily we paid the meals using cdc voucher. Come on Minang team, wake up your idea.

📍 Rumah Makan Minang – The Frontier CC, Singapore 🇸🇬 Came here for breakfast and it was superb! 🍴 Tried the Mee Soto 🍜—flavorful, comforting, and perfect in the morning—paired with a Teh C less sweet ☕ that was just right. The meal and drink cost $7.60 💵, which is very good value for the quality and taste. Staff were welcoming and friendly 😊, and the calm, relaxing décor 🌿 added to the pleasant atmosphere. A yummy, satisfying spot I’d happily return to for authentic local meals. 🙌
