I work nearby, so I usually drop by this place for lunch. Today I accidentally knocked over and broke the stone pot. The staff rushed over right away to check if I was hurt, then quickly cleaned up the mess. I offered to pay for another meal, but she said no need, they would make me a new one. Another staff sprinkled some medicine on a tiny cut I had on my hand. Honestly, everyone there was incredibly kind and caring.

Waited 50 minutes for food after being told it would only take 15 minutes. There was no proper update or apology for the delay. Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing and not worth the wait. Overall, not worth queuing for. There are much better options nearby.

It has been a couple of years since I went back to The Basement @ Hong Leong for lunch. After its renovation, there are a lot more food options from Omnivore to Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Indonesia, mixed veg rice, fish soup and traditional Chinese soup. I went back for my usual korean food and got their bibimbap with chicken. My colleague got their beef with rice. Both were equally good but was a little on the expensive side. Their ramen with chicken, porridge and soup are good as well. The staff however was unfriendly and simply pointed me to my food order when it was ready for collection.
