I would like to commend the cashier who served me on 2 August at 8.50 a.m. for her warm personality and courteous demeanour. She made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer, and her friendly attitude left a lasting positive impression on me.

The customer service of the staff members here are generally barely passable, today’s experience was an extreme one so I felt that I had to put a review here. 26/12/2025 at around 12:30-12:40pm, we stopped by to get some bread, and my mum picked up a pandan cake as well. She simply asked this Malay lady in a tudung if they still cut the cakes (they do that in the past, not sure if it’s a change of policy or it’s just that the staff members are lazy) , she replied to my mum, visibly annoyed, not sure what for. She also gave my mum a side eye, what was she so rude for, I’m not sure.

I actually love the buns and cakes at Swee Heng. The cakes are not to overly sweeten. Unfortunately there's always flies around. Would be great if they could plastic wrap all the buns and pastries. Not great for the environment but i would have a peace of mind eating knowing no Flies had a stop at the bun i'm eating. Its not store fault but since its near the market and restroom it cant be help. But overall the staff are always friendly and nice!

Hygiene issue with this outlet as of 18 July 2025. Saw staff sweeping debris towards and around bread cart with raw bread barely above the floor with a max of 10cm clearance. Avoid. Pending company to respond to my feedback before taking further action.

A hidden gem in the heart of the neighborhood, Swee Heng 1989 Classic at Admiralty Place is a solid choice for fresh, halal-certified bakes with a nostalgic twist. While it doesn’t have the glitz of a full café, it blends the comfort of traditional local bread with just a hint of modern flair. 🍞 What’s great: • Classic, well-loved buns: Soft, fluffy breads with familiar fillings — curry potato, red bean, pandan custard, chicken floss, and more. Everything feels warm, homey, and satisfying. • Signature items: Their Hokkaido milk bread, cheese lava bun, and sweet potato mochi bun are worth trying if you like soft, stretchy textures and rich fillings. • Affordable pricing: Slightly more premium than the basic Swee Heng, but still very wallet-friendly. Most items are under $2. • Clean and neat layout: The shop is well-organized and easy to navigate, even during busier periods. • Halal-certified: Like all Swee Heng bakeries, it’s Muslim-friendly and great for sharing with friends and family. 🤏 What could be improved: • Smaller outlet: Compared to flagship stores, the Admiralty Place outlet has a more limited selection. Don’t expect a full range of cakes or seasonal specials. • Takeaway only: No dine-in space — it’s grab-and-go. Would be nice to have a small seating corner for quick bites. • Peak hour rush: The shop can get quite busy, especially during lunch or dinner hours, so some popular buns may sell out early. ⭐ Overall: Swee Heng 1989 Classic at Admiralty Place is a great neighborhood bakery that delivers consistent quality, nostalgic flavors, and great value. Perfect for everyday treats or picking up something nice for the family. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a quick visit.
