03 Aug 2026 - the food was superb. really well-seasoned and rich in flavour! portion sizes were reasonable as well. it's perpetually crowded during mealtimes, could also be because this is one of the rare few halal-certified establishments in town. my fav dish here is defo the chilli lime squid; honourable mention goes to the pandan chicken. green curry was amazing too, it came with generous chunks of chicken. can't wait to be back to try other dishes ❤️ the only downside was that the service was lacklustre. not only did the servers not attend to us promptly, they were inattentive and impatient when we requested additional utensils. a little distasteful, but i do hope it was just a one-off encounter as i really enjoyed the food here and would love to return.

To those who don’t frequent this outlet, take note that during rush hour, you will have to go to the cashier to receive a queue number. DO NOT join the queue outside the restaurant. We did that and only at the front were we asked for a “number”. This was not indicated anywhere (pictures for reference) so hope you guys don’t make the same mistake as we did. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated. Service was average, I noticed they didn’t serve utensils and had to be constantly reminded. Food was below average. It was either too salty or too sweet. We ordered the set for two and honestly the individual dishes are significantly better. Wouldn’t come back to this outlet.

Did not manage to get proper pictures of the food as we immediately finished all the food. I really appreciate the staff's friendly attitude towards the customers and us. They have a lot of branches elsewhere but this one definitely stands out

Service: 10/10 The service here is truly exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They even went the extra mile to pull out the table for us so we could sit comfortably. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality. Food: 6/10 While the service was a highlight, the food was a bit more hit-or-miss: Tom Yum Fried Rice (5/10): This was a bit underwhelming. It lacked the bold, tangy Tom Yum flavor I was expecting and tasted more like a standard "cai fan" style fried rice with only a hint of spice. Cashew Chicken (6/10): The flavor was decent, though a bit too sweet for my partner's personal preference. My partner also felt the coating was a little thick and soggy, which overpowered the actual meat. Kang Kong (8/10): We ordered this less spicy, and it was the winner of the night. Very solid dish and great value for the price range. Bonus points for the popcorn: Cute little addition is having free flow popcorn. It was fresh and tastes exactly like what you'd expect. Overall, a lovely place for the atmosphere and service, but the flavors could use a bit more punch.

I had a wonderful experience dining at Sanook Kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors that truly impressed me. Every dish I tried was well-prepared and tasted authentic. The service was also excellent—the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout my visit. On top of that, the prices are quite affordable, especially for travelers like me coming from Indonesia, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One of the biggest highlights for me is that this restaurant is halal, so I could dine with peace of mind. Overall, I highly recommend Sanook Kitchen to anyone looking for great food, good service, and reasonable prices.
