Came by for a meal and ordered the Chicken Olive Fried Rice, Honey Chicken Rice, and Iced Milk Tea (Total: $23.62). The flavors were okay, but the chicken and egg in my Honey Chicken Rice were served completely cold. I'm not sure if it's meant to be a cold dish, but it would have tasted much better if it were hot.

Tried Sanook Thai Food at Suntec recently with a big group, including many children, and overall it was actually a very comforting and enjoyable meal. The environment is surprisingly big, with spacious seating, big tables, brightly lit and clean surroundings, which makes it very suitable for gatherings, family dinners, or larger groups. Even with children moving around, it still felt comfortable and not overly cramped. Food wise, the portions were quite generous and suitable for sharing. The flavours are more comforting and balanced Thai flavours rather than the very sharp or overly spicy type. The glass noodles were nicely seasoned and fragrant without being too oily, the omelette was fluffy with crispy edges, and the steamed fish had a very appetising garlic and lime flavour that paired very well with the soup base. The chicken wings were also well-fried and juicy inside. Even the vegetables were nicely cooked with good wok flavour. One thing I appreciated is that many dishes can be adjusted to non-spicy options, which made it very acceptable for the children as well. The children actually enjoyed the food comfortably without struggling with spice levels. Service wise, I think because it was peak hour and possibly not enough manpower, the waitresses and waiters were at times a little overwhelmed handling the crowd. However, overall they were still very attentive and friendly. The managers taking our orders were especially patient despite our large group and the many children. Overall, very comforting food, family-friendly flavours, generous portions, and a nice environment for group dining and gatherings.

It's my first time eating at Sanook Kitchen. Everything is excellent. From the service to the food. I would like to compliment every staff on duty today for their excellent work. The Steamed Sea Bass was cooked perfection. Highly recommend people to give this restaurant a try! Cheers!

We decided to dine here based on the extensive menu and the exceptionally high Google rating. Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite live up to the expectations those reviews created. The biggest issue was the food. Many dishes were noticeably over-sweetened and quite oily. The mango salad, in particular, arrived sitting in a generous puddle of thick, sugary dressing. By the end, it felt less like a salad and more like a dessert that was having an identity crisis. The same excessive sweetness carried through to the deep-fried chicken stir-fry with cashew nuts. The salad portions were reasonable, but the main dishes felt surprisingly small. The chicken also appeared to be made up of lower-quality cuts, which detracted from the overall experience. The seafood Pad Thai was another disappointment. Unlike the photo presented, it came with only a single small prawn, which must have felt quite lonely swimming around the plate by itself. The squid was unfortunately very tough and chewy. The drinks were enjoyable, but even after specifically requesting a less-sweet version, they were still remarkably sweet. At that point, I began to suspect that "less sweet" may simply mean one fewer spoonful of sugar. Service was polite but purely functional. Plates arrived, plates disappeared, and that was about the extent of the interaction. There were no check-ins or efforts to engage with guests, making the experience feel more transactional than hospitable. The restaurant was also quite noisy, with loud music making conversation more difficult than it needed to be. On the positive side, the complimentary self-serve popcorn was a genuinely nice touch and was a big hit with our daughter. Overall, I wouldn't rule out returning, but I suspect I'd need to provide the kitchen with a detailed briefing on sugar levels beforehand. Given the exceptionally high rating, I was expecting balanced, vibrant flavours. Instead, it often felt like the sugar was the head chef and everyone else in the kitchen was simply following instructions.
