A warm and cosy restaurant with excellent service. We enjoyed our lunch thoroughly. We had the Foie Gras de Canard, a perfect start to our lunch. The Grilled Spanish Octopus was refreshing to cleanse our palette before our mains were served. Their signature Wild Caught Barramundi with Sambal Tempoyak is a MUST try for durian lovers. The Greenland Halibut with Assam Nyonya Buerre Blanc was soft, juicy and flaky, another must try. I was surprised with a lovely birthday treat which consists of mango (not on their menu). Highly recommended and would love to return to try their other menu.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Experience! We had a fantastic time at Espoir! The food and ambiance were wonderful, but what really made the experience stand out was the incredible service. Our server, Annis, was absolutely great—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find such warm hospitality these days. Highly recommend this place, and huge thanks to Annis for making our visit so memorable. We will definitely be back!

European fusion food done right. Everything we ordered was delicious. Standouts were the squid ink tagliatelle with hae bee hiam, hokkaido surf clam salad, dark chocolate souffle, and spiced banana crumble. Good selection of mocktails too. Service was excellent - friendly and attentive. Easy to make reservations online and we were given seats on level 2 which was cosy.

Had their set lunch menu at $38 per person, excluding service charge and GST. You can choose one starter, a pasta or main, and a dessert of the day. For the starter, I had the surf clams. They were good and quite unique, as I do not usually have clams, so it was nice to try something different. The salad, sauce, and vegetables complemented the dish well. However, compared to my dish, the fried chicken portions looked larger and more appealing. For the main, I chose the sakura chicken with wild mushrooms instead of pasta. Initially, I thought it would come with rice, but it did not, so it felt a little odd having just the main dish on its own (quite a bit of sauce wasted). That said, the sauce for the sakura chicken was very flavourful and delicious. It also came with mushrooms and a decent portion of potatoes, which I suppose makes up for the carbs. It worked out fine for me, as I am trying to cut down on rice intake. The dessert served was red velvet cake. It was fluffy and pleasant, though it felt somewhat light, which made it come across slightly less premium. The environment is nice, and the staff are very friendly and polite.

We had a lovely lunch. Overall, it was a great experience and we love the ambience of the restaurant. I was really surprised at the menu - varied and showcased clever combinations with little surprising touches that really delighted the palate. I had the foie gras canard on spinach toast as appetiser which was simply lovely - the taste was really delicate and I love that little lime puree that add a little zesty tang to the meal. My main was the halibut, which was grilled to perfection - soft and delicately seasoned- simply divine. We were also grateful that you acceded to our request to have 2 different types of cakes for desert. Both you and Taha was very attentive and ensured that our plates were cleared in a timely manner. Full marks for excellent customer service. Keep up the good work and all the best.
