Vegetarian options are always very limited when you visit bistro or western dinning. I already know that before i step in, i already make known i only have 2 choices of main which are all pasta. Orders can be taken by scanning the QR menu or you can opt to order and pay at counter. The QR order quite straight forward, easy and more importantly fast to use. You are make known of the current offers like if you order $50 and above and use Citi Bank cards, you can get $5 off. The menu also allows you to key in your membership of you have any and you can pay your orders via the ordering menu. The environment is nice, what a bistro should like. Lightnings and music are just right. Once order, the serving is fast. Soups and drinks are promptly serve. There is a small hiccup though, the root beer float has a black item attached to the ice cream which i cannot make sense what is it, neither is the manager which the manager exchange another float for us. The soup of the day is mushroom soup which taste above average. It is seldom that you can add extra pasta for any order else where but 18 Chefs allows it. I order extra portion, it is right size but perhaps better off not ordering as the sauce look like enough for original portion but appears little lesser when you order extra pasta. Cheesy fries is not a good option, 3/5 in my opinion, yes, there is cheese but it does not go well with the fries. The fish and chip does go well, the platter is just right, crisp brown and the fish is fresh. Well done. The tartar sauce has a "zing" sour and refreshing taste. The salad is small bite but fresh and good. The fries should goes with the tartar sauces, it taste much better than cheese. I order a coke and a hot lemon tea, i think 3 dollars, i rather take the coke as the lemon tea is not hot and the portion is much lesser than the coke and the tea taste too bitter for comfort. In the end, i add the lemon from the lemon tea to my coke which make the coke taste better. For the $50, 2 persons meal, if you take the meat option, i think it is more worth it. Vegetarian options can be improve. 4 Stars for fish and chip, 3.5 stars for cheesy fries, hot lemon tea.

This outlet of Eighteen Chefs is located next to a Korean barbecue place. Do be aware that the smell of barbecued food may get onto your clothes while you're dining in. The service is decent and the staff were friendly. I had a ribeye steak which was cooked nicely. However the fusilli and cheese side dish could really so with a lot more salt or seasoning.

$3.50 for a cup of paper cup coffee? And when it came it was only half filled and the other half was full of milk foam. I mean they could have use proper coffee cup for a better presentation and not let diner feel ripped off. Serving of food was OK. Food is normal. Medium well steak is done correctly with a little pink still at the middle. Mushroom soup had more garlic taste than mushroom taste. I think quality and quantity dropped as compared to when I last came several years ago

9.5/10🌟 - Tried the $15.80 Seafood Laksa Baked Rice All-Day special meal, portion was generous, lots of seafood ingredients, taste was good, the laksa taste more the nonya laksa and extra sauce given as per requested - Highly recommend! The coconut shake and mushroom soup that came with the set was really good too. 💯 Worth the price, will come back for more. The BYOC - chicken cheese baked rice though was a little disappointing because the amount of chicken given was quite less (even with extra topping of chicken).

I remember going to 18chefs some many years ago as a student and it was a great place for hanging out with friends. Over the years, prices have continued to rise but they still offer the same processed ingredients. While it is nostalgic, it is no longer value for money. I got the salted egg pasta which was decent with salted egg sauce and a few prawns. Thought it tasted okay but wish they could bring back their pesto chicken pasta.

The 2 dishes we chosen was seriously good. The Tempura fish tasted delicious. Very crispy on the first bite and then tenderly on the flesh. Great combination with the black rice. Quite a good size of 2 pcs of the fish. The seafood pasta presentation wasn't as good but the flavor was nice. The chef could had put in small effort to present the dish well and not looked like fried hokkien noodle or char kway teow. This is an Italian dish. The display is just as important on the first look then come the taste. Is just my feedback. Overall I'm satisfied with my experience on this day. The service staff were friendly and showed courtesy towards customer. Well done for this.

Always a favourite place among families, young adults and students. I always like their fried rice with beef. Now they added a good range of variety of meat selection to go with the fried rice. My children love their carbonara. Can only be seated when your full group is present.

went here with my grandparents and we DISLIKE it very much !! i wont say much honestly but heres the overview some foods are just NOT IT ! the “soup” doesnt even have any taste ! and the ice lemon tea ? i wldnt even call it a ice lemon tea atp . just put some tea and a slice or two lemon ? i mean , i cant complain much honestly . but adding $5 for the “soup” and ice lemon tea just for it to be self service ? idk bout you but i dont see the $5 worth yk . went to 18 chefs couple of time but never at amk hub before . this will be my first and last time

The food was good and was served quickly too. The staff is very welcoming and nice. Been dining here since I was in secondary school. The student meal is now $8 due to inflation but still below $10 and definitely worth the money! Highly recommended.

My child ordered takeaway and when she reached time, she found a piece of hard leaf inside the cheese baked rice container. I called the restaurant and the supervisor Mr Shafiq (not sure of the correct spelling) refused to compensate, insists that the leaf is clean because they used it to make salted egg. But the fact remains that the leaf should not be inside my cheese baked rice. How did it get mixed into my food? Bad service bad attitude who doesn’t know how to provide good service.

My recent visit to Eighteen Chef left a strong impression, particularly due to their incredibly tender fried chicken and fish. But the portion size was little for the price I'm paying. One aspect that could be improved upon is their communication about the set meal. The self-service nature, especially for the soup and drinks, wasn't explicitly mentioned by the staff, which might catch some customers off guard. On the upside, the restaurant itself was a pleasant space—clean, spacious, and offering ample seating options. Despite the minor hiccup, the standout feature undoubtedly remained the food. The flavors and quality truly made the visit memorable, leaving a desire to return solely for the delicious fare. Overall, Eighteen Chef serves up delightful dishes, with the fried chicken being a definite must-try. Just a heads-up on the self-service aspect of the set meal and then food portion would make the dining experience even better.
