Iga Penyet for $15.90 and $1 for rice. MASSIVE FAIL! Beef is dry and tasteless. I've never been this disappointed in a long time.

A nice ayam penyet outlet addition to the Alexandra Retail Centre. Quite a bit of choice on the menu, and there six level of the spicy sambals you can choose from level 1, mild chilli sauce to level 6 fragrant red shallot sambal. Caution that the normal spicy level is premium shrimp paste chilli sauce in case you're allergic to shrimp. The fried tofu is a good side dish. Can be quite crowded on weekday lunch hours.

Please do yourselves a massive favour and head down to McDonald’s OR even Seah Im for a more satisfying meal. These thieves charge you $10+ for their ayam penyet, and this is the size of their chicken. I recommend heading to the ayam Bakar stall in Seah Im as it costs only $7 and more value for money. Disgusting and unethical stall, never patronising again.

Very disappointing. Ordered Smashed Kampong Chicken for take away. I didn’t open to check what is inside the box when I collected the food, as I didn’t expect that they didn’t give the sides (fried tofu & tempeh). They are handling this everyday but how come they forgot to put a complete components inside. The price is now increased and it’s not cheap. The smashed kampong chicken price is now $9.9 without rice. So I paid $9.9 + $0.3 takeaway box. $10.2 just for fried chicken only and missing sides? It’s not about I want the sides, but how unprofessional they are on handling the food. Already paid expensive but still missing sides? Also the size of the chicken now is smaller and dry, not as juicy as before. Can see from the pic, paid $10.2 just for 1 pc small chicken with no sides given. It’s not worth the price. Compared to other ayam penyet place, with cheaper price we can get ayam penyet set which come with rice and sides as well, and decent portion.

Level 3 chilli is already too spicy. The cheese doesn’t really coat on the chicken meat and falls apart.

Quite like the food here. Service is so so. Price is reasonable. Self service and you need to wait for your food to be ready and pick it up yourself.

Don’t come here if u r hungry, serving size is small. Taste is average as I had better elsewhere, average price of $10 and above and for the small portion it’s really not worth it. Walk across to foodcourt next to McDonald’s and you get better and bigger version for $6.

Taste wise is average for penyet. We picked the top 2 levels of chilli which was supposedly ranked by spiciness but we didn’t think it was spicy. There didn’t seem to have much of a difference beneath the skin between mine which was the special grilled chicken vs the one my husband ordered. However, we agreed that the level 5 chilli tastes nicer than the level 6 chilli

Someone will have to teach the staff to cook the rice .. it’s all glue together .. too wet .. other than that, the chicken , tofu and temper is okay 👌

Good size chicken thighs but a bit on the dry side, variety of interesting chilli and spicy levels to chose from.

The smashed ayam penyet that cost me $9.20 came so small. Yet, the picture on their menu is so huge. The bone on the chicken stood much more space than the chicken. The two tau kwa given tasted sour too. Overall, I had a bad experience eating here. And there are so many other food around here that is more affordable and worth than this

Cost is quite high considering it's 10 bucks for 1 pc chicken, 2 pieces of beanstuff, a tablespoon of chilli and 1 big cup of rice that cost 1 buck. Service is Super Slow. We saw some friends approaching and we told them to go elsewhere unless they want to be late. Taste wise it's a very dry meal. Better to go somewhere else for this price.

Extremely bad management of crowd control during lunch hour. Waited an hour for order whilst other people’s order keep going through. Highlighted to the staff multiple times but same answer every time that the order is in the kitchen. Happened one too many times that patrons were forced to take away their food due to the long wait. Staff were not working together either as cashier lady were more concerned of the errors made by the cook and prep staff rather than helping to manage customer and prioritise earlier order. Highly not recommended which is a shame as the food was decent but the service and long waiting time is not worth it. Better chance of getting your food if you walk into the kitchen and cook the indomie yourself. Better yet, walk into 7-11 and get yourself instant noodle

Every dish served was pretty tough, from the duck to tauhu telur, until my muslim friend had to use his hands to eat since the cutlery wasn't strong enough. The only positive thing about the cafe was the air-conditioned environment. We ended up eating there because every restaurant at the ARC was full house during lunchtime. Though the price was reasonable, the food was at the other end of the spectrum, and they were also understaffed, with only 2 workers at the counter, who had to double up as table cleaner and resulting in forgetting your orders till you remind them. Will be the last time trying them out.

Super small piece of chicken for $9.50. Rice normal portion also cost $1. Taste is ok but too expensive

Very pricey food. I wouldn't have dine here if given a choice. I ordered 1 small ayam penyet indomie comes with 1 sunnyside up which costs me $12.90. The portion was rrally very small. Add on 1 black coffee kosong which costs me $2 and it was the most horrible coffee I ever had. Can't even bothered to filter the coffee ground. We stood at the counter for abt 5 mins before the only staff served us. I pity her as she was the only staff manning the counter, food, drinks and at the same time packing for takeaways (1 leg kicking). Quite a long wait before our queue no.is called. We were there at about 1.35pm and waited our food for abt 15 mins.
