Food as nice as usual. Never fail to please the Indonesian food lovers with the varieties of 7 spicy level and the authenticity of the food taste itself. Definitely it's recommended to eat Indonesian food here at D'Penyetz Jem especially for those who value the quality above everything else! Great food good vibes!

1st try at this outlet and maybe my last but it is all depends. They have other outlets which I have not been to, but their service was good 👍👍The 2 ladies that served us were multi-tasking & they were genuinely very helpful. Their sambal have varied levels of spiciness which taste so good. 👍👍 Gado-Gado: Big portion but the boiled vegetables had a stale taste & scent. The sauce was good Terung (Brinjal) Belado: Favourite, very good ✔️ Fried & Grilled Bawal (Pomfret) : Good but didn't expect to be served with Golden Pomfret instead of the usual Black Pomfret. Fried Lele (Catfish): tasted fresh & good. ✔️ Tahu Telor: Good & tasty with well balanced flavoured peanut sauce. Sup Ekor: Too salty, in fact it was too salty even after we tried to watered it down with water and ate with rice, it was still salty. Like a quarter pack of salt fell into the broth. Disappointing because it would be a hit if it was not salty. 😔😔

Indomie base price is $6.50 with egg. You add “jumbo” portion is +$4.50. Think about it, $11 for 2 packs indomie and an egg, with a dab of sambal. I get it is a restaurant but the pricing is ridiculous. Not to mention the boneless chicken cutlet came as 2 strips. There are better shops serving indomie at reasonable price avoid this place unless you have money to burn

Food is nice as usual. Was here to try out their Ayam Penyet & Black sauce fried fish in normal spicy level. (They have a few levels for you to choose, no harm going for spicier!!!) Never dissapoint as they have good services and serve your food fast as well. Highly recommended to those who are craving for delicious Indonesian food!

The portion is smaller than usual, for big eater do take note. For spice level, if you are not sure what level to take, in reference with Mcspicy i will said Mcspicy belong to level 4. So if you cant take the spice level of Mcspicy i will suggest you take level 2 or 3. Do take note that spiciness experience is different, it tingling in your mouth for quite a while. Quite shiok. I personally prefer the Grilled Chicken (Ayam Bakar) with Spice level 3. The sauce is really good, the down side is the meat is abit dry. But is unavoidable now with the situation of fresh chicken in shortage in Singapore. The restaurant is located outside of Cathay Cinema at level 5 in Jem. The surrounding food court is currently under renovation, the place is quite quiet and not crowded. I believe you can find a seat anytime here.

Got the indomie with chicken and mozzarella cheese (blowtorched to melt over the chicken). Very sinful but cheese is great with fried food. They have around 8 (if I remember correctly) spice levels of chilli to pair with the main dishes (thankfully placed on the side; not mixed!) I got level 3 which gives a kick but not insane enough to make me gulp tons of water. Shared eggplant, fried tofu and satay with friends but over-ordered — would be good for 4 or 5 people. I might come back just to be adventurous to try the other spice levels for fun!

Personally I have never eaten there, it's always takeaway. An easy takeaway just need to lightly heat up in microwave it's ready to eat. Almost tried all their menu, think 🤔 the only one I don't fancy would be their Catfish. A must try in my book, Madura Spice Duck 🦆 & Grilled Oxtail Set.

I enjoyed the indomie though it was overpriced. Spiciness at 3rd level was quite spicy for me. The Teh tarik don’t taste like teh tarik

We always get the oxtail soup with their signature dishes on our fortnightly fix of D'Penyetz.

Very good ayam penyet. We had the smash chicken thigh and the smash chicken cutlet, the smash chicken is the better option. Chicken thigh is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. chicken cutlet is abit dry and not as crispy. Comes with a fried tofu as well. Option to choose the spiciness of the chilli from level 1 to 8. We had the spiciness level 5 and 8. They give extra crucnchy bits which is very thoughtful of the owner. Tauhu telur is nice but didn't really like the sauce given, tasted like satay gravy with a hint of lemongrass. Prefer the darker type of sauce like rojak kind. kakak serving is very friendly.

The spicy levels for the ayam penyet is like a pilgrimage for the spicy lovers, not for the fainted heart. A little bit small on the portion but delicious nonetheless. Regardless, there are still many other indonesian dishes for you to choose from. A decent place for casual dinners and repeat visits to try some of the other foods they advertise.

One of the better Ayam Penyet I've tried. Whenever we have craving, we will drop by this branch. Their Tahu Telor is a must-try. Teh Tarik is good. But recently found that the chicken and fish have shrunken. Inflation perhaps???

Overall very nice experience and feel of the Indonesian cuisine. Ayam Penyet could never go wrong regardless of the sambal chili. While kinda concerned about the rice being served some mins before the actual dish and its portion considering the price, the quality still makes it worth it. Well done.
