I had lunch here with my Ahgong today; we ordered the dori penyet ($6.50) (the fried Dori crunchy outside and soft inside) and Nasi Lemak Set C ($4). If I recall correctly, the drinks were $1.80 for iced lemon tea and $1.80 for hot Milo. In my opinion, the taste and portion sizes were excellent, especially considering the low price. N: the Sambal very nice☺️ I don't understand why some people leave negative reviews regarding the price and taste of the food. Prices vary depending on what you choose to order, so I hope we can be more thoughtful when evaluating things, it really saddens me to see people immediately giving a one-star rating for the food they received. I find this place really helpful because the prices are quite affordable starting at just $3, you get a meal that’s filling enough. Plus, the seating and atmosphere are comfortable, it’s neither too crowded nor too noisy.

Bad service. Dirty tables. Tables not cleaned regularly due to insufficient cleaning staff. Already caught once by NEA for being dirty establishment. and got suspended for 2 weeks. Need to report to NEA again!

I think the lontong in here is nice. Been compared to few several others, I still prefer the lontong served in here for the thick of their sauce and rich of the flavor. Service and Atmosphere are good. I do not give 5 stars simply because there are always room for improvement, nothing to complain though.

I came here based on a TikTok video showing their unlimited curry rice and upgraded overflowing ice-blended drink. However, what a disappointment! They told me the ice machine was down, so I decided to order a normal iced coffee instead. It turns out they didn't have any ice at all. I mean, how difficult is it to simply buy a bag of ice from a nearby NTUC store and keep it in their freezer to use? The curry rice was incredibly dry the driest I've ever eaten. The chicken was so poorly fried that it was hard like a rock. I actually had to drink my hot coffee just to quench my thirst after trying to chew the chicken cutlet. Also, for the chicken cutlet rice set I bought, they claimed they had run out of vegetables. I was shocked! They then offered to substitute the missing vegetables with an additional egg. Curry rice without the proper vegetable side is not curry rice. The shop displays heritage murals, which suggests you have a better understanding of good service and management. I came at 2:00 PM, and the entire experience was a disaster. Shouldn’t you have prepared for a 2nd machine? Shouldn’t you have other ways to get the vegetable? Rivervale Plaza don’t sell the same vegetable to use? It’s curry rice and the vegestable can easily be bought at the NTUC or wet market? What’s the boss of this business doing? Trying to Chomp down its own business?
