Experience a delightful ambience. Customer Service is top notch. We tried 4 mains - Curry Seafood Risotto, Fish & Chips, Grilled Lamb Loins and Beef Wellington Sides was Satay with Bread Pudding as Desserts. A must try is the Butterscotch Beer. Deserved a second visit. And many more to come. Price is at a high end. Good for celebrating anniversaries and birthdays.

The food is amazing here. Unlike all the low rating review, I honestly didn't experience any of those mentioned here. Great service by Shafiq who has took great care of our table even though we were in a large group and the place is full house. Cakes is a must!! Will bring my friends here definitely!

Finally got to visit their Esplanade outlet. The ambience and the view by the Bay is really awesome. Bigger space to cater a big family. The service was very good although there was a lot of tables to be served, they handle it well.. No complaints about the food, it was so delicious and their desserts as you can see from the pictures are really mouth watering. Durian lovers order their Durian cake top notch 👍👍👌👌

We made a reservation for 3 on Xmas Eve. The restaurant was bustling and staff were clearly busy. Nonetheless we enjoyed our food and drinks, plus special thanks to Alexis for tending to our requests. Appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert and letting us move to the chill outdoor area. Their signature ondeh ondeh cake is simply divine. A splendid evening!

Ambience excellent! Foods are excellent, loving it! Service a bit slow on the night I visited but it's ok cause restaurant was full house. On the whole we enjoyed our visits there. Will be back soon!

First time dining at The Malayan Council at Esplanade after attending a morning concert. We were appreciative of the friendly and attentive staff service. Special mention of Miss Alexis who made our visit enjoyable and pleasant. Our Beef Wellington and Halibut were delicious and we liked the fresh vegetables that were served with the dishes. The ondeh ondeh cake with ice cream was so good.

Decent tasting food but no wow factor. For what’s worth, you can find better tasting same food elsewhere at lower price. This is at esplanade, price is much higher, but taste doesn’t match up. You can request for window seats to view fireworks now that we are nearing National Day.

Exceptional Service and Delectable Delights! I had the pleasure of dining at the Malayan Council recently, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Alexis, our server, provided impeccable service with a genuine smile and remarkable attentiveness. The food was simply outstanding, with generous portions that satisfied both my taste buds and appetite, a must try is their ondeh ondeh cake served with ice cream. I highly recommend the Malayan Council for their exceptional service and mouthwatering dishes. Kudos to Alexis and the entire team for creating a memorable dining experience. Bravo!

Walked in during dinner when my friends and I went by, we didn't realise there was an outlet in Esplanade. Was glad we did. It was a bit on the pricey side but the servings are ginormoussss hahaha I cannot remember if I ordered the risotto or paella, but it was SO GOOD and spicy! Ended up having to bring home half of it, the servings are good for 2 people! Friends ordered Wagyu burger and Fish and Chips... also huge portions and really nicely cooked/seasoned. There were many items unavailable that evening, but definitely will be back for the food and great service :)

Great ambiance and friendly staff. Good venue for team lunch offering a Halal menu. It's not crowded either. I tried the Beef Wellington that day. Ain't that great. It's cooked medium rare which is great but the quality of the beef is a bit disappointing. The beef colour is a bit dull and gives off a bit of smell. The portion is good for a single person or for sharing with a friend. The smoked duck chili padi is nice. Overall, I prefer the menu at the Esplanade better than the one at Bussorah. Will I come back to try other dishes? Definitely yes. 😊

Food and staffs was great. The food quality and services are top-class. To me, this is one of the best places to dine out. Every food item we tried are delicious. Great atmosphere and all the staffs were friendly and super attentive. Special thanks to one of the staff "Gerlyn", she was sweet, helpful and professional throughout our stay. Also, thanks for the complementary cake for one of my co-worker who's birthday month is October. Overall, we enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

We love the elegant and awesome vibe of the restaurant. Amazing and sumptuous food! The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. What more can I say, we have the lovely waitress, Gerlyn. She amicably took care of everything and went an extra mile. It was very thoughtful of her to ask if we’re celebrating any occasions and gave us a wonderful time. Oooppss! We got vouchers for our next visit. 😍 All staffs were friendly and kind. This place is a must visit to chill and relax and enjoy food.

Had a chance to visit it yesterday. Walk in for 3 in the afternoon and manage to get a seat. Tried their ondeh cake, durian cake, satay n spaghetti. I’d say they’re good , esp the Ondeh cake. the price is a bit on the high side but considering the location, table setup, dress code of the waiter, it’s reasonable. After paying, we got a little surprise. We r given a piece of Ondeh cake for takeaway , that definitely score extra points for us and make me feel a bit better on the bill. lol.

Menu is different from the other branches they have. This is more focused on western food like burgers and fish n chips. Lamb loin is quite good but the couple of seafood dishes we had, the octopus was very chewy. Overall still worth a visit as the staff are nice and food arrives decently quickly if you’re catching a show or musical.

In case you are lazy to read this whole review, I will just summarize it and tell you that the brunch food served here is absolutely horrendous. Perhaps it was our dressing of plain t-shirt, short pants and shoes which wasnt up to par with the 'posh' setting of this restaurant, we were given a seat right in front of the kitchen when there were tons of other better empty seats in the restaurant. But i guess that is alright since the waiters may feel that the seats near the kitchen are much better (?) Anyway, we ordered some truffle fries and was appalled by appearance of the dish. you can tell that it was obviously overfried based on the dark texture. While the fries looked terrible, the taste was much worse. It wasnt even crispy and was excessively oily. I guess these fries tasted and looked so bad can only be due to the fact that they were leftover fries which were re-fried or re-baked. The fries were so bad that we could not even finish half of it. We told the waitress about the fries and luckily they were nice enough to change a new batch for us. When the second batch of truffle fries came, it didnt look overfried but it was still excessively oily and lacked crunch. Honestly, i feel that $16 for such standard of fries is a total ripoff. In fact i would rather eat 3 large fries from Macdonald relative to this junk. I also ordered one of their brunch item which i cant remember the name but it cost more than $25 (excluding GST). Anyway this was what was served on the plate for a $25 dish 1 egg benedict (with some ikura on top- AMAZING!) 1 slice of low quality toast 3 slices of smoked salmon wrapped in a shape of flower (WOW) few pieces of lettuce and cherry tomatoes in thousand island dressing I guess the discrepancy between the 'posh' setting and overly priced but low quality food was more than enough to make me speechless. At the end of the meal, we were given a $20 voucher which we obviously refused since we will never ever be visiting this place. They then handed us a slice of ondeh ondeh cake which i guess was a consolation for the traumatic experience. Anyway the cake was equivalent to a ticket to getting type 2 diabetes since it was overly sweet (the word overly is a major understatement) but i wouldnt complain too much since it was free. Perhaps the voucher and cake were part of their SOP since they may have already known how bad their food were. However I guess their plan to salvage the situation WORKED which is why i am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 (YAY, WELL DONE). While i may be a sucker for consolation gifts which will allow me to increase the rating by 1 star, i am not a dishonest chap unlike reviewers who rated it more than 4 stars LOL Overall, I reckon that that the food served here is tandem to a vacuum cleaner - it sucks. Words cant describe the horrific experience i had at this restaurant but i guess numbers can, so i would rate it 1/10. I'm not sure how people who had brunch there would give a rating of 3 stars and above. Honestly, they should really get their tastebuds and potentially head checked for anomalies.

A lovely place for dinner and chill. The appetizer salmon tartare was nice - the ingredients all mixed well together and made it so smooth going down the throat. The beef wellington could be better as it was a little bit over cooked. Asked for medium but it seemed to be almost well done. Chicken was fairly good but the lamb loin was the bomb! It was so tender yet juicy. Enjoy every bite of it! We ordered few cakes to share and their ondeh-ondeh cake is still the best! The pandan, coconut and gula Melaka were so yummy! Durian cake was not bad too. Overall, the pleasant ambience in the restaurant made us feel relaxed and we enjoyed the whole dining experience!

1st time visit this restaurant today on 23 Dec at 6.30pm. Ambience not too fantastic, temperature is not cooling, in fact, a little stuffy. Staff said is centralized Aircon, so can't lower the temperature. The food, for this kinda price, unacceptable! Fish and chip - 1/10. Fries were hot, but soggy! Worse than burger king dries. Even Mac sells better fries. The fish, claimed to be halibut, but texture and flesh inside looks like Dory fish, which I hated the most. Soggy and disgusting texture! $32 for this plate, I expect better quality In fact, if I choose a better fish in coffee shop western food stall, less than $10 per plate, I can get better quality. The fried brinjal tempura - 1/10. No big deal. Wagyu hamburger, their signature which cost $42. Another 1/10. Soggy fries as usual. The wagyu texture....how to describe it???? Soak cardboard with water till soggy, then squeeze out the water - that's the dry texture I got from the wagyu. Way too dry. Service from staff - 5/10. Average. Servicing staff came with a smile and generally quite polite. When that tall manager cleared out plates and asked bout the food, we shared it was horrible. At least he was apologetic and offered each of us complementary cakes, which I roughly recalled cost more than $10 per piece. I would have given 1 star if not becos of the kind gesture. The cakes - 3/10. The ondeh is way way too sweet. I think around $12.50. it's about the right balance of sweetness... Durian cakes not too sweet, but that's about it. I will not visit this restaurant again...

It was nothing short of amazing, combining fantastic food with outstanding service. This restaurant is a haven for those who appreciate a fusion of local and international flavors. The Satay here is a must-try. The skewers were grilled to perfection, with the smoky char complementing the tender, marinated meat beautifully. The rich, flavorful peanut sauce was the perfect accompaniment, elevating the dish to new heights. As for the Waffles, they were a delightful treat. Amazing! Light, airy, and perfectly crisp, they were served with a choice of toppings. What made the experience even more memorable was the staff's helpfulness. They were more than happy to assist us in taking pictures, ensuring we could capture our wonderful time there. This gesture added a personal touch to their already excellent service.

The waitress named Gerlyn has been the most helpful and friendly server to our family. Everyone here was very nice and supportive. We celebrated our family’s birthday and was given 6 complimentary birthday cakes! Perfect! Will definitely come here again for our next family dinner! Thanks a million :)

A beautifully designed and spacious restaurant that serves halal food. Apparently each outlet has a different focus and the one here is a mix of Asian and Western. I came here for brunch and had the chicken satay, the crispy king prawns, and the sotong hitam seafood. Portion sizes are small relative to the price paid. Of all that we are, the sotong hitam was probably the most unique and best tasting. I felt their batter could be improved for the prawns and squid. As for the satay, they should be better skewered with more meat. For dessert we had the durian cake which came with ice cream. It was quite generous for this one which was worth the price. I think this cafe/restaurant is a lovely place to hang out and have a conversation and a hearty meal. Some dishes are hit and miss and could do with some fine tuning and better presentation. The staff was superb. They were mostly attentive and went all out to resolve some minor issues we had while dining there.

Came here to celebrate Eid Mubarak. The food was great especially the Ramadan Special risotto, chicken percik and lamb. It’s also very quiet and peaceful and has a nice view of MBS. The service is great too as they are very friendly and they also gave us a complimentary cake because they knew we were celebrating Eid Mubarak. Thank you!
