I had a disappointing experience at Zoul’s Corner. I wanted to order the Nasi Ayam Sambal. Before informing me that the chicken thigh was unavailable, the staff had already accepted my payment and started preparing my order. She even packed the rice onto the plate. When I mentioned that I don’t eat boneless chicken, she told me the chicken thigh was still frozen. Later, when I returned to check if my order was ready, I was told that there were no chicken thighs available at all and that only boneless chicken was left. The explanation kept changing, which was quite confusing. I was also charged an additional $0.50 for the boneless chicken, even though I wasn’t informed about the extra charge before making payment. What disappointed me the most was seeing the rice that had already been served being put back into the container after I declined the boneless chicken. That really raised concerns about food handling and hygiene. In the end, I tried the boneless chicken, but it didn’t taste fresh and the overall quality was disappointing. I hope the restaurant can improve its communication with customers and ensure better food handling practices in the future.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Zoul’s Corner. This stall has been voted as one of the best Ayam Penyet in Singapore, so I had higher expectations. I paid $7.50 for the Ayam Penyet, but when I opened the takeaway box, it only contained a piece of chicken, rice , a piece of vegetable & chilli. The usual sides dishes that are commonly served with Ayam Penyet, such as tempeh, tauhu, small tomato & soup were missing. If these items are no longer included, this should be clearly stated to customers before ordering. Otherwise, the portion & value for money are very disappointing, especially considering the price charged. I hope the boss can improve transparency & maintain the standards and quality that earned them their reputation.

Everytime I asked for Soto Ayam, they don't have it. Many times this has happened. I'm starting to believe they don't even make it anymore. And if they ever do, they probably make too little they shouldn't have bothered to begin with. It's obvious their main sellout dish in the entire tiny menu is the Soto Ayam, NOT their boring Nasi Penyet series. So it should have been common sense to any business mind that they should be sure to make more of what they profit in. Alas not to the owners of this establishment.
