I love Nasi Padang. Friend recommended me this place but it’s not up to my preference! Ayam Merah was too sweet, Tahu goreng was too sweet, the beansprout felt so raw.

Tried their nasi padang for the first time. Just located outside the loft at Level 5. Beef rendang is tender and not too spicy. Fried plain brinjal is tasty even though it doesn’t have any gravy. Chose the non spicy curry gravy so it adds flavour to the rice. Best teh tarik I have drank! Proportion of tea and milk is perfect so you can taste the fragrance of the tea. Affordable pricing for food around town area. Friendly makcik and pakcik! 👍 Has a homely vibe!

Second visit on Feb was as good as first visit. Ordered Nasi Padang with 4 ingredients : beef rendang, sayur lodeh, sambal goreng, talor mata lembu with 2 hot spicy sauces; sambal tumis & sambal belachan. Attached picture. My first time here on 2023/01/07 about 2:45 pm. Late lunch. A strong repeat despite the price, it is in the touristy Orchard area so understandably a tad pricey. However fair portions of the Nasi padang. Lets see what I wrote earlier to my friends … “ Btw the nasi padang I had was really good. Prices have gone up but it was nice for $8.70 with nice portion of beef redang, sayoh lodeng with soft tau kwa & teloh matar lembu on nice steaming hot soft rice with sambal tomis & sambal belchan 9/10 rating. “ Yup a solid 9/10 score. And the Sago Meleka also unmistakeable a rock solid 9.5/10 rating. Bought 2 more for takeaway, that’s how good it was 👍🏼😃 Taste : 9/10 Quantity : 8/10 Quality : 9/10 Hospitality : 9.5/10 - friendly family operators Cleanliness : 8/10 Ambience : 8/10 Overall : 9.25/10 Repeatable : 5/5 for sure if in the area

It has been a while since I came to this amazing cafe, as I'm not always at Orchard, it was late 4pm and was so so hungry and as i didn't had lunch, I had ordered 2 mains and one veg. The rendang beef was shiok and tender tasty and then my favourite sotong itam(black sauce squid), tasted so shiok! Like how my late grandma cooked it. And definitely sambal belacan-add in then it has more power ah... I should say , the quality of food remains a good standard.Go visit this cafe and don't forget to keep some space for kuihkuih or the best goreng pisang. Thanks for your friendly hospitality. .Sharon

Authentic taste of Nasi Padang, really good. But the goreng pisang and kuih-kuih is to die for. Goreng pisang and Tea Tarkk is a good combo. The family run cafe has been there for over 20 years and it’s well known in Orchard Rd for their consistent food and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Love the friendly reception and introduction to all the traditional Malay food that they have. Special mention to delicious Tahu Goreng - full of flavour, lots of peanuts, wonderful not so sweet satay sauce and well done tahu! Also traditional abok abok sago wrapped in banana leaves can be found here! Highly recommend.

Beef rendang, sotong hitam, chicken lemak, terung, sayur lodeh with rice ($20) - The flavours were not bad but the portions were small for the price.

I love the variety of kuih here especially their puteri salat and their abok-abok is exceptionally soft, deliciously rich and subtly sweet. Must try too - their asam pedas, sotong masak hitam and super shiok sambal belacan. Very friendly and accommodating owners too.

Yusof & Arni's Cafe is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations. The Mee Rebus thick and flavourful gravy made every spoonful a delight, showcasing the authentic taste of Malay cuisine. It's worth noting that their menu may vary day-to-day, but the store owners' warm hospitality, including providing their contact number for menu inquiries, adds a personal touch to the dining experience.
