Yum Yum Thai at PLQ Mall is a solid 5/5 ⭐. The grilled chicken noodles, fried rice, and appetizer platter were all top tier. Highly recommend if you’re around Paya Lebar! 🇹🇭🔥

We chanced upon this little Thai eatery tucked away at B2 of PLQ while looking for lunch options. The service staff were awesome - friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We ordered the beef glass noodle (pictured), secret chicken fried rice, Thai omelette, and an iced milk tea. Milk tea and omelette were fairly standard fare (note to eatery: less oil on the omelette would be good!). While the fried rice itself was also fairly standard, the secret chicken tasted a lot better than it first looked - bursting with flavor without being overly salty or oily. That leaves us with the beef glass noodles, which was *amazing*. Noodle texture was just right; it was fried till it had a wet feel which worked really well for the dish, and the flavoring on the noodles was "香" in both smell and taste. The coriander went very well to balance out the strong flavor of the noodles. The beef and egg were generous portions, although the noodle really was the star here. It was a really good first visit and the eatery wasn't too crowded, which let us enjoy the food in a quiet cozy corner. We're looking forward to trying the green curry and tom yum in a future visit!

Ordered Yum Yum Thai's Set A (FR5 Secret Chicken Fried Rice, Fried Fish and Iced Green Tea) plus another Iced Green Tea to-go. All delicious! Juicy, flavorful secret chicken with dipping sauce went well with fried rice that was fragrant without the oiliness. Also, YYT staff was friendly and accommodating to have the original Thai Fish Cake changed to Fried Fish. Lightly battered fish was tasty too. Iced Green Tea had balanced fragrance and sweetness. It'd have a perfect takeout dinner if the side was placed in a separate container/bag to retain its crispness.

I tried the Thai crispy omelette, but it was quite disappointing. It tasted more like flour than egg. I was expecting a fragrant omelette with a soft interior, but this felt all flour. Possibly with too much starch or too little egg.

Absolute banger for pretty much every dish. My go to is the boat noodles. Green curry has more of a lemongrass tint to it so that's a bonus for me. Tom yam is pretty solid also. Service is solid cos they sorta remember you almost immediately. To add-on, their set meals and grab 10% discounts makes me go back every time.
