I feel compelled to highlight an issue noticed at this food court. The manager appears to be giving free eggs and food upgrades selectively to certain customers, particularly young or “pretty” girls, while other paying customers receive no such treatment. This is not only unfair to customers who are paying the full price but it also raises concerns about how the business is being managed. Giving away food without proper control may seem minor, but repeated behaviour like this ultimately affects the stall owners and the boss who bear the cost. Food outlets should operate with fairness, professionalism and proper accountability. I hope the management or owner is aware of what is happening on the ground and takes steps to address it.

25 February 2026. A halal food court but the Mala store is fronted by a China National who is rude arrogant and refused to speak English . What a contradiction ! Its a Halal food court for god sake so our fellow Malay , Indian and non Chinese Muslim friends can't order because he outright insisted I speak to him in mandarin (not my strongest and first language ) and refused to ask for help from his fellow colleagues to assist with the language Barrier. To make matters worse he tried to abuse me and said that everyone speaks Chinese in Singapore and he had no problems in the last 2 years . To add injury to insult , the supervisor by name of Woon ,aka David Chin wasn't the most helpful and pulled me aside Instead. This emboldened the Abuser's behaviour and he went nuts. After making a complaint , David Chin humoured me and said an Area Supervisor will ring me to resolve. I asked for the Area Supervisor's name 4 times and he just shut me out . What a ridiculous food court. Let's turn this around .Would you put a full English speaking person to work in a food court in Shanghai.? What a disgusting place and unsafe environment to eat there . I😆

First of all the beef curry rice we ordered from the Japanese Food did not have any omelette although the picture in menu does have omelette in it. When asked, the female staff was not professional at answering why but just insisted there’s no omelette for this dish. Next, when we ate the rice it was cold and hard to chew as it was undercooked. We returned the bowl to the female staff saying just that and asked whether it’s possible to reheat. The staff did not seem helpful. Instead she asked us what we wanted her to do with it. We repeated what we said then she finally put our bowl in the huge steamer and told us to come back in 3 min. The hygiene of this is also questionable since we already ate from the bowl she put into the huge steamer.

Cozy area to relax and enjoy food/drinks (all halal certified). Free charging and wifi and air con. Footfall is significantly lower than Foodgle (the other SIT canteen), even during peak weekday lunch hours, there's always plenty of empty seats indoors. It's almost completely empty on weekends yet the food court is open. Most tenants are closed. Perfect to study and surf the net, but i wonder if they are operating at a loss on saturday/sunday with almost no customers. Foodwise, well priced but not the best tasting. Student sized portions and can be larger. Had a friend who worked in SIT and got tired of the canteen food by day 2.
