My lunch partner and I ordered the following dishes: spiced paru, sambal goreng, tapioca (cassava) leaves lemak, gulai ayam and urap taugeh. The paru, sambal goreng and gulai ayam were over-salted but otherwise lacked flavour and lacked the signature nasi padang fragrance combination of lemongrass, galangal, daun limau purut, daun kunyit and daun salam (and kencur, if they consider themselves authentic). The tapioca leaves lemak was almost tasteless save the natural flavour of the leaves. The urap taugeh was similarly bland. The tahu cubes in the sambal goreng were sour (not fresh) and the gulai ayam did not taste like gulai padang (lemongrass-galangal-fresh turmeric base) but more like Indian curry (cardamom-cinnamon-cloves-curry powder base). The only component that lived up to my expectations, was the sambal belacan. I did not mind the cost of the meal, as I understand the eye-watering rentals in Orchard Road. However, the kitchen failed to deliver in terms of flavour complexity and balance, and aroma, all the reasons I eat Indonesian food. This meal was a disappointment.

Nasi Padang. Was introduced to this Nasi Padang stall when I was working in the area. It's on the pricier side so I only have it when I want a treat of awesome spices and I might say atas cai png (vegetable rice).

One of the best padang/ malay food in town. Every dish is flavourful and freshly cooked. The price point is on a higher side. But considering the location and the quality of the food, it is priced fairly and reasonably. I ordered: seafood + meat + 2 vege and it costs me slightly upward of $10. When I'm in the area, I'll almost never miss the chance to dine in here.

Bought two plates of nasi padang and iced teh tarik and a normal hot teh tarik for $23~. Pretty steep but considering the location and the vibes you get from the place after a nice stroll/shopping session in Orchard road, i think its reasonable. Only complaint i can give is that i wish the dishes were warm but other than that, i will definitely come again. Tbh this was my second visit in a span of a month :) first visit i brought my sister and mum. Everyone i've brought to come here were pleased with the food

Nice place, with food, music and enhanced with natural lighting from skylight. Parking at killney and dublin road is very limited. Best to come at non peak timing.

Been here twice so far. Expect to pay at least $8.50 for 2 veggies and 1 meat (at the time of review). Food is decent taste-wise. But whether it is worth the above-average cost, I will leave it to the reader. Personally for me, I rate it as 4/5 overall.

Love the chicken rendang and sambal brinjal. The chicken rendang is rich in flavour and will give you the mmmmm factor!! Beef rendang is also a favourite here though, I didn't order it. For drinks, just order the teh botol.

Centrally located, Warung M Nasir is within walking distance from Somerset MRT. Food turned out DELICIOUS and surprisingly even the teh bing is yummy. Highly recommend this place to everyone! I only have two points for improvement to raise. The tahu telor was super salty. Skip this dish please. Also, unsure why the lighting was crazy dim. I could barely see what I was eating. Please turn up the lights! It didnt help the ambience, trust me. But overall, a wonderful meal.

Tasted wee bit on the sweet side otherwise ok. Quality if rice bit too broken. Lopez not bad teh tarik too dilute. Pricing ok.

The perks of eating here are no queues to wait in, and a fairly comfortable seating atmosphere, however, the food isn’t as good as the ones on north bridge rd. The gravies and dishes fall short of a real oomph and flavor. Ok for a quick meal if in the area but I’d rather opt for the real deal elsewhere.

Food is good but really pricey . Not your day to day kind of meal. Serving portion also too little, need to upsize in order get a satisfying meal.

Needed to drop by Orchard Road to run an errand so I naturally took the opportunity to scout for popular eateries in the area. Given that I've not had nasi padang in a while, that was the dish I zoomed in on. Originally, I was thinking of visiting this eatery run by a Chinese Indonesian family on the 2nd floor of Orchard Plaza. It used to be located just after the escalator at the back end of the building. However, it has been quite a number of years since I patronised them, so it was little surprise that they are no longer operating there. Anyway, my Google search turned up Warung M. Nasir as a popular nasi padang eatery so that was where I headed. It's a small coffeeshop styled restaurant and, based on the crowd seated in the interior, is probably popular with the surrounding office crowd. I ordered my usual go to dishes for nasi padang - curry chicken, sayur lodeh and sambal goreng. The price came up to $8.50 which is quite reasonable considering it is in the Orchard vicinity. Unlike some of the other nasi padang I've eaten, the gravy for the sayur lodeh and curry chicken was a bit thicker. The food was incredibly flavourful. The thick gravy mixed in the rice was truly heavenly. I will definitely come back again to feast.

Not the best nasi padang out there but a decent plate and considering no queues and clean location, good option if im in the area. Slightly overpriced with just a small piece of beef rendang given. Would visit pu3 at 313 somerset instead next time.

One of the tastiest Nasi Padang I’ve had. The rendang was so soft and tasty. Price was reasonable too at $10 for the dishes ordered. Easily the highlight of my day, thanks for the heartwarming dinner.

== Dec 2023 == Food is still good! We ordered many dishes. 4 servings of sambal mussels, 2 servings each of fried chicken and beef rendang, 1 serving each of bean sprouts and sambal goreng, and 5 rice, plus 5 teh -o for $66.50. This would probably served 4-5 people normally. Food is generally on the saltier side but tasty. Servers are generous with the gravy though rice and dish portions are on the smaller side. == 2020 == I love food @ Warung M Nasir! The sambal paru (beef lung) is amazing, the sambal mussels are great. Rendang (which we didn't order today) is usually flavorful, and so are the other dishes! However, I have to deduct 1 star for the sayur lodeh (vegetable curry). In my opinion, veggies in sayur lodeh must be simmered till they are soft (not crunchy). I would have rated everything overall as 4.5 if I could. Still love Warung M Nasir! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Incredibly delicious and affordable! Order enough beverage to fight the heat as it's really spicy!
