ayam penyet was superb! juicy, crispy, and flavourful! the soto ayam was fragrant and light. overall, the food is very reasonably priced ($8.80 for a generous portion of ayam penyet, $5.80 (+$1.20 with bergedil) for the soto ayam!) for the quality and portion sizes. really friendly service too! :) (i would recommend their teh tarik as well!!)

While me and friend were finding for a place to have our lunch at Raffles Place, we had come to find out about this outlet within CIMB building upon coming from Raffles Place MRT, the food we had tired is their sSgnature Nasi Soto Ayam which was very tasty as the rice was soft and nice...for you should try..

Trying to cut the carbs but still craving mee soto? Sup ayam. Mr was patient to understand my order: Mr: what would you like to order? Me: mee soto no mee and lots of tauge? Mr: ah… then just sup ayam (with a smile) Me: yes yes yes. Plus one piece of tau kua. Hot soup was great, loved the balance of spices and fried onions. Soup was flavorful without being overwhelmingly rich.

Famous adam road mee soto! Tried the nasi soto ayam as this looked like the most unique dish on their menu! However overall wasn’t too impressed. Soup was not bad but quite light in flavour. Chili was nice, sweet and q spicy! However the other parts were just okay. Rice wasn’t so fragrant. Chicken was just ok, Both tofu and chicken wasn’t crisp at all. Overall, everything wasn’t warm, the food was just at room temperature so the meal wasn’t so enjoyable.

The signboard “Adam Road Mee Soto” caught my interest because I just came to know Adam Food Centre has a few hawkers awarded with Michelin star. Mee Soto is 1 of the dish but there is no Michelin cert found in the stall at Raffles Place. There are Mee Soto, Nasi Lemak, Ayam Lemak and a few other dishes. I ordered Nasi Lemak $6.80 with additional toufu, I paid $8.30. Toufu was $1.20, and $0.30 for takeaway. The portion was decent and I specifically enjoyed the fragrance of the rice with coconut flavour. There were 2 middle wings and a drumstick, a piece of fried egg, cucumber, ikan and generous portion of chilli. I hope Ikan can be less salty and the overall food warmer. The stall is at the basement of CIMB Plaza, heavy cooking may not be allowed. I was there before 1130am, hence waiting time is short.
