The aircon here was very warm. Hope they can do something about it. At first I was disappointed with this newly opened cafe as it's quite hard to communicate with the young female trainee, she didn't hear my order & I have to repeat myself again. She also seemed no reaction when asked her things and I asked her if can use Amex card to pay, she no response and let me tap, tap already then say cannot. Luckily the indian chef came out to assist, say Amex card need to insert card in instead of tapping. I know there is no service charge here but please train the trainee everything especially handling cashier. Food & drinks wise, I really have no complaints. Their mushroom bisque was fantastic, I don't know why their recipe was so different from other mushroom soup, it was thick and super flavourful till I really wish to drink 2-3 bowls! Their Chicken Baked Rice was also impressive, the rice were all well marinated with the chicken meat. Ice-Lemon Tea taste so nice too! Really value for money to add $3.50 for the set! Will bring my colleagues back here to try their other main courses soon, hope will not disappoint us.

The food and atmosphere is great but the service is terrible. Payed and ordered at the counter the $15 set. Waited 20mins for my food. Then when my buzzer beeped, the main food was served but soup and drink missing. i asked where my soup and drink was, then the staff at the counter remembered to serve me soup/drink. What was more horrifying was i witnessed the service staff serve a Caucasian couple at their table whilst the locals had to collect their own food.

Honestly speaking, if you do not mind waiting 2 hours for your food, feel to come try eat at this cafe. And I observe, every customers that order your food, have all approached the cashier and ask why is the food taking so long? Where is the food? I don’t see such a problem in other cafes, you can’t possibly cook for hours for every single dish/order, what is wrong with this cafe seriously. My food only arrive after 2 hours later, oh my god. Thumbs down for this cafe.

The food was alright overall. I opted for the Aglio Olio pasta, but unfortunately, it turned out to be too spicy for my taste. On the plus side, the price of the dishes was reasonable, making it a more budget-friendly option. One aspect I appreciated was the friendly demeanor of the waitress. It's always a nice touch when the staff are warm and welcoming. Another advantage was the self-service system in place, which meant no additional service charges were added to the bill. The restaurant's atmosphere was truly delightful. The ambiance was lovely and added to the overall dining experience.

Horrible experience. I'd rather eat at the food court near this place. You have to take your own menus, cutlery and even return your trays. I have no problems doing that, but as a self proclaimed restaurant and not a food court this really isn't the best experience. There was no pre-emption for this or anything as well. Our table was just wondering what on earth was happening and observed other tables doing self service and then figured it out. This felt highly unsatisfactory. Other tables were also complaining about this as well. It's really a hawker stall masqueradeing as a restaurant. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. It honestly felt like they didn't want customers. The food honestly is okay, but for the price and how poor everything else is....the food doesn't compensate one bit. It's passable. But to have this level of service, your food better mind blowing. Which it is not. You've been warned.

Zero complaints! I thought the ordering process and self service were clear and worth it - food is so delicious and came very promptly. Staff at the counter was lovely as well :) And at really good prices especially in town (they even have discount deals if you takeout) - will come back for sure 🫶🏻

Nice place, great ambience and attentive staff. Food was so-so but portion was good!! Standard pricing thats' kinda affordable i guess (better for students!) Nothing special about the sesame chicken (that was best selling) — rice, egg, veges, chicken with the japanese sesame dressing. Other than that, would consider coming back just for sides/drinks and doing work :)

Was there with my family today. First time tried their food. I am fully satisfied with the taste anf portion size. Even though food delayed a bit but it is totally understandable as it was full house that time. Excellent service and Lovely ambience. So deserved 5🌟.

stumble upon this at near a corner. Food are affordable (low $10) with no service service nor gst (nett as per menu) Aglio olio (dry, hard and blend, can look at pic) and the sesame chicken (dry) wasn’t nice. Mushroom soup, waffle, fries and honey baked chicken were alright. Feel it’s worth for the price in this area, need to self service and return treat which is perfectly fine for me.

i had fun attending a kpop fancafe event on 17 february! Cashier is really understanding as it was my first time ordering from The Tree Cafe. The cafe was decorated nicely on the day of the event and took tons of pictures! The food was delicious and was served beautifully. Had so much fun interacting with teumes (fandom name) and hope to attend more cafe events in the future! ❤️

Had the creamy salmon pesto pasta. It’s definitely different from the usual pesto pastas I’ve had before and it’s pretty decent. The price is reasonable as well.

First time tried here during Saturday night for break fast. It was full house when we came here. Had called them in the afternoon earlier to reserve for 5 of us and it was a smooth flow. Music that they played was suitable for people who come here to eat. The student price discount of $2 for any purchase is a good strategy for students to come here and eat too. Keep it up a good job! 👍🏼Definitely will come here again soon!
