The vadai was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The prawn and ikan bilis were always crispy and it complemented the texture of the vadai. It was my first time eating dhal vadai. I did not fancy the compact texture of the vadai as it was not what I was expecting but it is definitely worth trying as it is healthy. I placed them in the air fryer to heat up for around 5-10 minutes and the texture was maintained.

My review is NOT for this outlet, it is for the stall at the Marine Parade pasar malam. We got 2 grago vadais. They stank so bad from the oil. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Waste of money. Threw them both away.

The workers at Original Vadai are damn rude to customers. They behave like their customers owe them a living. Visited the Geylang outlet on 1 June 2025 at 2:55pm, and this will be the last time I will patronise Original Vadai. They do not deserve my business!!!

Be careful when ordering large quantities as you'll be prioritized last even though you ordered earlier as they don't prioritize first come first serve. P.S. When they are rushing the vadais, it'll come in weird small shapes and also tend to be a bit burnt 🙄
