Been a fan of Gerai Nenek Obek since I was young, and it’s always nice coming back to a place that still brings back that familiar taste. The sambal sotong and rawon are both so flavourful and satisfying. But what really made the experience even better this time was the warm and friendly service from Filzah and Sarah. They were genuinely welcoming and made the whole visit feel great. Always happy to come back to Gerai Nenek Obek! Definitely one of those places that never gets old.

Recommended by my friend to try nasi rawon & nasi jenganan. Nothing special. For $7 each plate is not worth it. I don't mind pay more like Sinar Pagi but their standard drop too. For nasi rawon, I find it sweet for my liking. No meat or taste of buah keluak. My partner had the nasi jenganan, he said it's watery for the peanut gravy. Served by an older lady who don't smile as if Iike I owe her a living. If tired please don't work and stay home. But then again the other older gentleman who was serving other customer was smiling etc. Again, this is just me, maybe for others their taste bud are different.

Order nasi rawon, Cost me $7, opened up the packet and to my surprise only one slice of sambal sotong. The rawon gravy dont have any meat in it. 2 slices of tempeh, one slice of paru…. Better off buying from shaliza kitchen

No matter how nice or tasty the food is, I won't stand for rudeness. Staff that is handling customer needs more training on communication with customer. Not have a noncalant attitude back with sarcastic remarks.
