We happened to be at the museum and walked in TGM without any reservations for dinner, lucky for us there were seats available. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Dinner was a simple course menu, the starters that we ordered were all delicious, in fact it was personally my favourites! I love the berry sangria so much! The service from the staffs, Vicky and Arnold were splendid! They were thorough in explaining about the food served and they checked on us frequently. They even offered to take a photo of us and was seen doing the same for other patrons. Definitely will come again to try the Day menu!

I had a great time at your restaurant on 09 May. It was a catch up session with friends after a long time. The atmosphere was awesome and the food was amazing ! The Chinese male waiter was committed to giving excellent service throughout. A very dedicated gentleman giving his exceptional best customer service to not just us, but to every customers. He deserves a pay raise. We loved the ambience and the service provided by all your staff. We will be coming back again !

The food is fantastic, the view - the place is so instagrammable and the warm hospitality. It is one of the most affordable cafe to hang out in the heart of the city. Very quiet place to bond and chat with friends. We ordered 2 mocha, but the first one was sweet. The waiter was too kind, she just charge us 1 mocha only instead of 2. I was definitely be back for more to try out other dishes.

If you're looking for a five star food experience, look no further than The Great Mischief. Halal Fine Dining at very reasonable prices. The service and attentiveness of the staff were excellent. Absolutely no complaints except the table was a bit small for the large amount of food we ordered!

The fragrant paella I savored at your restaurant was truly a revelation; a delightful fusion of flavors that transported me to the heart of Spain. The attention to detail and dedication that your chefs put into crafting such a masterpiece is truly commendable. It’s no exaggeration when I say that it’s the best paella I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, and I am thrilled to have found such a gem right here in Singapore. Equally remarkable was the level of service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The speed at which my meal was served without compromising its quality was truly impressive. Your service staff’s genuine smiles and attentiveness made the experience all the more enjoyable, creating an inviting and friendly ambiance that is often hard to come by. As with any culinary journey, there are minor aspects to consider. While I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience, I couldn’t help but notice a slight limitation in the variety of condiments available. Having a wider selection, including staples like honey and chili sauce, could elevate the dining experience even further. However, I understand that these are minor details and certainly did not overshadow the exceptional qualities that define your restaurant. In conclusion, my visit the Great Mischief was a true culinary delight that left an indelible mark on my taste buds and heart. Your commitment to excellence in both food and service has not gone unnoticed, and I eagerly look forward to my next visit to savor the paella once again.

The restaurant is located inside the National Gallery's ground floor. Despite the good reviews we did not enjoy our time here. The noodles were supposed to come with vegetables but we were not able to find any, leaving this dish as noodles in some thin sauce. The large breakfast's components were OK, but the bread was burnt (and tasted burnt), the vegetables and the eggs had a pronounced vinegar-like taste to them. This was rounded off by a sour coffee and them not being able to provide tap water.

Curious that server does not allow for coffee and seating at the main dining area at 4.30pm when there are more than ample spaces - especially when it is not like a “lull” period between lunch & dinner service where the section is closed. Something to look into as an area for exercising judgement. Does not help the response given by the server carries a sarcastic tone, when asked if I could wait for the coffee only section table to be available . See the ample room available 🥹

First time visiting there! We did a walk in almost lunch time yet we were welcomed 😊 Found a small table beside the walk way that does the trick. Place is clean, tidy and lighting is just right. The place gets a lot of traffic based on its location! So definitely a hot spot. Ordered a couple of Tapas plates to keep us occupied while waiting for the paella plate that takes 30 mins to come! I would recommend to try it if you never tried it before, but I would give it perhaps 7 out of 10? As I make paella at home all the time so I found it a bit too salty and slightly over charred from the bottom for my taste, However I liked it. Meat balls should be a bit more juicier and I would recommend boneless chicken to be cooked with it instead, to absorb the flavor from the rice and spices!! We had to request water as it was not brought to us in the beginning but I got the reason later by the staff mentioning that they charge $3 for it which is kind of a cheap move really to charge on water 😂 but whatever!

This is my fifth time eating here. I love the atmosphere here quite aesthetically pleasing. The malay waitress was very fluent in her speech as she introduced us to the menu. she is such a good waitress as she was patient with me and my son as my son was giving her a hard times with choosing the menu.

!As Spanish food lovers, we are super disappointed! They missed our orders, and the food wasn’t really tasty overall. 1. Churros: Churros tasted good and it is the only dish I would recommend among the food we ordered. 2. Paella: The paella was not authentic and the rice was too soft. 3. Tortilla de patatas: the worst tapas I’ve ever had in my life 4. Sardinia pasta: taste was okay Tbh not too sure how they get 4.5 stars rating on google..

I loved this place! Great service and delicious food. My husband is Spanish and he enjoyed all the dishes, especially las croquetas and patatas bravas. The crema catalana was also very tasty! Can't wait for our next visit.

Beautiful place but it’s understaffed and everything was so SLOW. Had to rush them for the food 3 times, and they forgot our coffee order too. During ordering, we kept asking if the food option has dairy (a friend was allergic to it) and staff was unclear which option had dairy and couldn’t give advice. We ordered a fish (that took super long to come) and it was covered with cream sauce (with dairy) 😅 Still worth a visit only if you are there ONLY for drinks and photos. Food wise, the chicken & honey almond cake were good! But skip the $50 fish dish. A lot of bones, not fresh and not nice. P.S. They ran out of milk yst too. So can only choose oat milk or soy milk for your coffee. 😅

Very aesthetic and friendly spot! Came here on our way out of Singapore for a quick bite and ended up loving our decision. The waiter gave us VERY SOLID recommendations and the service was super quick. They also seated us despite the lack of a booking which was very kind of them. Would come back!

We ordered 2 different paella, chicken & seafood, prefer the chicken, it's tastier, the seafood is quite blend. Had the Devesa Ribeye as well, really soft beef. The crema Catalan is more like creme brulee, not too sweet.

Went on a weekday night. Place was almost full. Environment was spacious and quiet - great for small talks over meal. Made reservations via the online platform. Called in to equire, the staff was prompt and professional. Good: - quality food and drinks. - nice and conducive environment for corporate dinners. - service staff was pleasant and prompt. Can do differently: - It would be nice if water can be served complimentary. - Menu can include recommendations for popular dishes. Will recommend this place.

Quite a nice place to catch-up with friends during lunch time. If you are lucky, you may get good instagrammable seats. Good service from the staff too. We ordered few dishes to share and all were fairly ok. Calamari tasted ok but not crispy enough. As for the seafood paella, seafood was good and fresh but the rice was a little bit salty. The short rib was the nicest among all - mashed potatoes was smooth and the beef was tender and flavorful. Overall, still good! And it's a Halal restaurant.

Good service from staff. Good value for money for the 3 course western set meal during restaurant week (croquetas, spiced chicken and burnt cheesecake with rose wine ). Only thing I didn’t like is the chicken, I don’t like spicy. As the National Gallery area is more appealing to tourist or foreigner crowd (not really local folks), suggest to have non spicy items for western food to remain competitive in wider, universal landscape. Overall it is recommended

Overall really enjoyed the whole experience here. The food was good, service was good, ambiance was good. Maybe we were the loudest in our group (whoops, there were 24 of us). We had a faire share of tapas and sharing food and it was all great in my opinion. Patatas bravas was well done, a hint of spicy but balanced Croquettes were 10/10, creamy and tasty, not too potatoey nor too milky, it was melting in my mouth (my fave) Gambas was cooked to perfection, flavour wise and texture Calamari were huge slices and well cooked, the sauce was good. The ribs fall off the bones and melts in your mouth when it came piping hot. The flavour profile is not overpowering and the potatoes were also very smooth and balancing the meat taste We also had the steak and cooked to medium. Good amount of fat, great amount of sides, good to nice doneness, the sauce was delicious too. We had both paela valenciana and seafood paela. Very hearty portions and generous serving. It was good too. Not to mention, their cheesecake were served with pears and I thought that was great combination. Churros were cooked to perfection and fluffy. Love it I came with no little to no expectations and they all blew my mind. It was pretty quiet during weekdays night so the servers were really attentive. My colleagues and I enjoyed it very much.

The cafe boasts an aesthetically pleasing and “Instagramable” environment that is sure to capture many ladies attention. However, the food and coffee offerings left much to be desired. The taste was rather average. During my visit in the morning, there was only one waiter available. You have to seek out the waiter at the coffee desk rather than having them readily available at the tables. Also, the billing was wrong twice.

Spanish Halal restaurant with prices lean towards the higher side, the bustling ambiance during peak hours emphasizes the need for reservations. The duck salad and seafood paella, however, left a bit to be desired. The paella, though flavorful, featured a scanty serving of seafood—four small mussels, squid, and prawns each, leaving the diner with a predominantly rice-heavy experience. A surprising drawback was the charge of $3 per bottle of plain water, an unusually high fee even in the Singapore dining scene. If you're willing to navigate these nuances, the overall experience might still be worthwhile, especially with a reservation to avoid the crowd.

The black hole group doesn't disappoint and I hope they continue with the quality of food and service of their establishments. Didn't manage to capture pictures of the food but all the food we ordered was delicious. I especially enjoyed the pasta with lamb shoulder Ragu. So simple yet so good. Definitely would come back! Staff are friendly and service was great as well.

Food was surprisingly nice as I had low expectations given my past experience with Spanish cuisine that's halal. Liked the beef ribs especially...tender and fully flavoured. Both Paellas I tried was ok but prawns were underwhelming for the seafood one. Another highlight was the calamari.

Food was very nice. The Runaway Duck (Smoked duck and salad) was really good - the smokiness smell came through. The mocktails were a tad sweet for me. The price is on the high side but i feel it's reasonable considering the venue and food was not bad. Staff was really helpful - took our family photos with the wonderful Bay Sands in the background; even though it was not our table. And they turned out really good. Helped made the birthday celebration more joyous - put the birthday sign one of the dishes and even gave complimentary small cake that made the day. Thank you.

Beautiful and comfortable seats. The decor is the highlight of the place. Halal certified. Ordered the potato croquette, tortilla and gambas. Potato croquette are nice as well as the gambas. As for the tortilla was a complete disappointment, it tasted so dry, the eggs are overcook and it tasted like sponge. Service wise, was a little slow but perhaps is ramandan.

Food: Had the afternoon tea set, really beautiful and interesting flavours, but other than the Almond cake and the Jorizo tartina nothing was really worth coming back for, though the mix of flabours was nice. Loved the peach sangria (: The paella was disappointing, cause its 2 meatballs cut to look like 4 meatballs, the rice is super dry and the peas are raw and cant be chewed through and the chicken has no flavour....probably wont come here for food? Service: The service can be slow, but there is not many staff and its a big space, so i totally understand. They are nice and quite attentive, and are really polite. There is no free water, which is quite strange cause a lot of their food is spicy and dry ahhah

Good food, great ambience (IG worthy). Service was quick, responsive but lack of smiles and warmth (they are just doing their job). Food portion is for small eater, hence if u r a big eater, do order tapas or other appetizers to fill u up. But the food tastes excellent and it was not disappointing. Tea is served in pot.mocktails are also available. Price a bit on the high side. Nicely set in the National Gallery. With such aesthetic, remember to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

"The Great Mischief" offers an average culinary experience, but their service could use a bit of flexibility. Despite calling ahead to inform them of a minor delay of about 5 minutes, they were unwavering in their 15-minute table-holding policy. It is worth noting that we managed to arrive within the allotted time frame. While adherence to rules is commendable, witnessing several empty tables during our hour-long dining experience raised questions about their inflexibility. Reading other reviews on their rigidity on other occasions further supports this fact. Improvements in accommodating unforeseen circumstances would undoubtedly enhance the overall dining experience and foster goodwill among patrons.

I am very confused by the 4.5 star rating and the constantly fully booked out status of this place. TLDR - Go to Courtyard Cafe instead Kids pasta looked worse than home cooked (photo was taken when served, exactly as it was plated when it arrived at our table) but at least my kid finished it. Fried tripe and patatas bravas were alright but very rich. Veggie pasta (La Verde) probably the best thing we had, give it 6.5/10. Grilled shrimp so spicy that it ruined our taste buds and we had to order water (because they don’t serve it otherwise). The fancy $9.59 bottle of sparkling water was probably the thing that most met expectations - at least it was a sizeable 750ml. Service was efficient, but not warm. Some parts of the dining booth were so dirty that my child (who is known to sit on the floor outside) flat out refused to sit there. Save your money and go to Courtyard Cafe - where food while not outstanding is predictable, service is warm, and drinks start at $3.
