I've been wanting to visit this popular Indonesian Street Food stall in Funan Mall for awhile now and so glad I got the chance to sample their scrumptious offerings a few weeks ago ~ Martabak (or "Mutabbaq) is a stuffed pancake or pan-fried bread. It's name in arabic means folded and is a popular street food in Indonesia, Yemen, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. We tried the following: 》Original Choco-Cheese | A warm fluffy pancake stuffed with their secret melted choco recipe topped with premium cheddar cheese. The pancake is then slathered with an aromatic Wijsman butter and condensed indomilk. The sweet + savoury flavour combo is ideal for someone like me who is obsessed with choco and cheese, indulgence at its finest - this one's a must try! 》Chicken Martabak (Martabak Telur) | This savoury meat-filled martabak is right up my alley, I thoroughly enjoyed its generous filling (chicken, eggs, green onions, shallots and garlic) which was packed with flavour and that crispy golden brown exterior was totally delightful. 》Salted Egg Indomie Martabak (Chicken) | The springy @indomie noodles coated with a rich/creamy homemade salted egg sauce combined with the martabak was so addictive, pleasantly surprised how the flavours worked so well together. 》Bakso (Beef Meatball Soup) | This is one of the street food staples in Indonesia and is made from scratch using only authentic and premium ingredients. The handmade jumbo meatballs were chewy and seasoned perfectly which complimented the soup/vermicelli noodles. It was served with sambal and kecap manis on the side to add that sweet + spicy kick, such a hearty dish. 》Biscoff Cookie Latte | It's made of Indonesian milk coffee with generous amounts of biscoff spread, crumbs and biscuits - my sweet tooth was totally satisfied with this dessert drink.

With reference to the receipt, I submitted my order at 1.39pm. At about 2.05pm, I proceeded to the counter to asked if my order was ready because well, it has been closed to 15 mins and my queue number was not called yet. The counter staff look around and noticed that my order was already on his counter table. I expected basic service apology but nothing. So I proceeded to take the food and head back to my seat. At this juncture, my drink (Fresh Ice Lemon Tea) was not prepared/ready. My view on the Chicken Rendang: Rice was hard, obviously not enough water when cooking it. Chicken Rendang portion was okay but I expected the taste to be more authentic. Ambience: Indo food theme right? Should the music complement the theme too? Overall for the price paid and its popularity, I expected better service and taste. For sure there are rooms for improvement.

The food here is good, worthy of 3-4 stars, but the thing that turns me off is that in order to get a free tea, leaving a review is not enough; I was being told to leave a 5 stars review. Not 5 stars, no tea. In my opinion, this is not how reviews should be used, and this store seems to use this incentive to “game” their ratings on Google Maps.

Ok. Was given a free drink for this review. Can customise order using touchscreens to add extra ingredients @ higher cost. Can't downgrade to reduce cost /meet dietary requirements. I had the indie martabak for sg$11.90 incl gst. It was spicy + tasty.

Best martabak manis aka terang bulan in Singapore. As an Indonesian I struggle to find decent terang bulan and this one was legit. Soft, buttery and with enough fillings! Went for the Original choco cheese and got the mini size, 3 slices for 5.95. So good!

Value for money Indomie Martabak set if you like to have a taste of the savoury and sweet version. Comes with a drink of your choice! Easy to order through the kiosk. Small dining area so not a place to take your own sweet time to eat. The sambal is too little in my opinion. Just a tiny dollop. Can't even taste it. Need to pay more for extra scoop.

Bought the es cendol because in the photo it looks delicious. When I tried it, it didn't taste sweet at all and there was no gula melaka taste at all. It taste bland and there was so much ice that i had a hard time stirring it so i could only taste the taste of water. Additionally, the employee who served me wore rubber gloves when taking my money and made my drink right away without changing gloves or taking them off.

I didn’t expect it to be really spicy, but it’s enjoyable and the flavour is perfect. Taste is authentic too. Would recommend :)

The staff are very helpful. As tourists, we had some problems when ordering but the staff helped us despite being busy in lunch time. the foods are nice. And since we don't really eat in big portion, it's good to have an option for small portion.

Martabak manis: needs more chocolate. Martabak telor: skin is too thick and too dough-y, it has to be crispy. It lacks the fragrance (aroma) and taste of your usual Indonesia's martabak telor. Smashed chicken: okay but not enough chili. Indomie: too bland, It's like they're not pouring the whole seasoning.

So so food on our first visit - not much to prompt a second visit with plenty of better choices in the same building. Along with the not bad but not good food was a very poor stance towards packaging - we dined in and all food and drink was served in disposable cartons - our meal for two included: 4 cardboard containers 2 with plastic lids 3 plastic containers 2 sets of plastic cutlery 2 disposable gloves 1 straw 1 plastic bag Appreciate the stall advertises itself as a 'street food' outlet so this might fit their asthetic but for dine in customers it felt un-necessary and very wasteful

Tasty coconut rice and ayam penyet (smashed chicken). The noodles were tasty although it’s plain fried, as it’s intended to be a side to the chicken. The ayam geprek came with a very spicy sauce that was fantastic when mixed with the noodles and the rice. This place has limited seating though, but good food.

Happy to find a savoury murtabak! What’s even more exciting is that it comes with egg and then to choose either chicken or beef. See how thick the filling is!!! Just that I’m not sure if the outer layer should be that thick/soggy. You can also get to pick if you want all the condiments - Martabak sauce, sambal bawang, fresh acar. The sambal is hot.
