Food were so authentic & delicious. We had Besties Birthday Celebration here in Jewel. The atmosphere is nice. Uma is very helpful taking photos. And we have complementary desserts for the Birthday girl..

Had been thinking of beef rendang for a while now. Finally got it at Tambuah Mas in Jewel. Exactly how I like it. Savoury sweetness spiciness just enough. Tender beef pieces with basmati white rice. It was so satisfying and so yumz. Love it. There are seats where you get to see the waterfall too.

went here with my friends on 23 May at around 3pm. none of the staff were friendly and welcoming. after we ordered our food, genuinely felt like 45 minutes of waiting. i have respect for FNB and frontline workers because i myself am a frontline receptionist, but the lack of initiative to inform us our order was being delayed was truly unethical. no apology for the long waiting time. there was no checking up on the customers like “how’s everything? really sorry for the delay but we’ll be sure to serve your food as soon as possible” etc. when we realised the food was taking way too long, one of my friends approached the staff to check on our order. then came to realise that MY order was not sent to the kitchen simply because i indicated a remark “no vegetables” due to “remark unavailable because it’s not for selling” or whatever that meant. so after ordering my food, it took another 20-25minutes for the food to be served. the staff that served my BIHUN GORENG walked in a bitchy manner and i was NOT having it so i took the plate from her myself. we do not need this kind of service if you’re gonna have this attitude. and seems like nothing has been done yet as i have read the other reviews on the poor service, so it’s not like as if this company cares about their customers yeah? those new customers who are wanting to try this restaurant, i suggest going to the other branches idk it could be better there than here. do better. you’re in customer service. i’m one to talk because i have been in the hospitality industry for YEARS.

Tampuah Mas at Jewel Changi Airport offers a well-known selection of Indonesian cuisine in a prominent and globally recognised setting. The dishes themselves are satisfying and reflective of familiar, comforting flavours, making it a convenient choice for diners seeking a taste of Indonesia while in transit or exploring Jewel. However, the service experience during our visit fell short of expectations, particularly given its location within one of the world’s most renowned airports. While we were still in the midst of our meal with several tables available and no visible queue the staff repeatedly approached to clear our plates. This created a sense of being rushed and prematurely concluded, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed Sunday dining experience. Rather than focusing on clearing plates, there is an opportunity for the team to be better trained in fundamental hospitality principles, such as checking in on the guest’s overall dining experience, offering thoughtful recommendations, or suggesting additional dishes, beverages, or desserts to complement the meal. These small yet meaningful interactions would not only enhance guest satisfaction but also reflect a more polished and professional standard of service. In a venue as prestigious as Jewel Changi Airport, it is essential that service aligns with global expectations. With improved training and a more guest-centric approach, Tampuah Mas has the potential to elevate its dining experience to match its strong culinary offering.

My family has loved dining at Tambuah Mas since I was young, from its days at the old Tanglin Shopping Centre to now. The beef rendang is consistently delicious and authentic & I’m glad that the taste has remained just as good over time. The service at the Jewel outlet is also wonderful. The staff remember me and always welcome us with such warmth, which makes the experience even more special. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the service at their Paragon outlet, which is why we tend to return to this one.
