Found a dead cockroach embedded in the pandan chiffon kaya cake that I bought. 🤮Disgusting and unhygienic. Please do not support this unsafe business anymore.

Why did the company engage external vendor to vacuum the aircon during operating hour on a saturday morning when there are exposed bread just below the aircon (right background)?

Large varieties of bakes n lovely cakes. Favourites are all their walnut series. But they cannot add salt to their regular bread dough n pass it off as shio pan!!! What a disappointment with the plain n garlic shop pan! Go check out Oiishii bakery’s or So Good’s…

If you’re looking for a more upscale twist on local bakery favourites, Swee Heng 1989 Signature at Causeway Point delivers both comfort and style. Unlike the standard Swee Heng outlets, this “1989 Signature” version offers a more modern interior and premium selection — perfect for both takeaways and casual sit-downs. 🍞 What stands out: • Artisanal Touch: Classic buns are reimagined with better ingredients and more refined presentation. Think soft Hokkaido milk bread, mochi buns, and even charcoal or matcha-infused creations. • Signature Items: Their mochi buns, cheese lava buns, and sweet potato buns are especially popular. They’re soft, chewy, and generously filled. • Modern Vibes: The store has a cleaner, café-like aesthetic, with nice packaging that makes it feel more premium than regular bakery chains. • Halal-certified: Like all Swee Heng stores, it’s halal, making it accessible to a wider range of customers. 🧁 Other positives: • Friendly and patient staff, even during busier periods. • Great location on a convenient mall level (typically Basement 1 or near the food court). • New seasonal items pop up from time to time, keeping the menu fresh. 🤏 What could be improved: • Price point: Items are a little pricier than regular Swee Heng outlets, though still affordable compared to other premium bakeries. • Limited seating: Mostly takeaway-focused; not a café where you can sit and relax for long. • Can sell out fast: Popular items like the cheese lava or taro mochi buns sometimes run out by evening. ⭐ Final Verdict: A great stop for elevated local-style baked goods in a clean and stylish setting. Swee Heng 1989 Signature at Causeway Point is perfect if you want to treat yourself or pick up something nice for family. Worth a visit if you’re in the area

I was making payment at Swee Heng 1989, Causeway Point today, 6 July @ 2.38pm after choosing the breads i want. This young female Malay cashier seemed like not happy with her job. She THREW every single bun back onto the black tray after putting them into small plastic bags. And she anyhow squeeze all the breads into a big carrier unwillingly after that. No respect for her customer at all. The breads were all out of shape after i reached home. Hello! If she is not happy with her job, she can always go and work somewhere else! Very bad attitude! I pity the employer who has hired this kind of staff. I will not go to this Bakery shop anymore!
