Absolutely unacceptable customer service. There were no bread trays available when I was selecting bread. When I politely asked a staff member called “Seren”, I was met with a rude and hostile attitude. Instead of helping, the staff member appeared irritated and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner. To make matters worse, the staff member then handled and placed items down loudly and aggressively, clearly showing frustration in front of customers. This behavior was highly unprofessional and made the entire experience very uncomfortable. Customers should not be treated this way for making a simple and reasonable request. Basic customer service standards, courtesy, and professionalism were completely lacking. Management should seriously address this issue and ensure staff are properly trained in how to interact with customers. Very disappointing experience, and certainly not the level of service I would expect from a bakery.

I bought a few shio pans, one of it being the kunafa pistachio. I only realised it had no filling when I reached home!!! It was my mistake for not checking properly but i’m quite puzzled as to how the cashier didn’t realise it while packing my items. Essentially, I paid $2.80 for an empty shio pan 😕

Decided to try Swee Heng's shiok pan (shio pan) series and got the red bean with butter (had a similar one in Korea so using that as reference). Unable to heat it up as the butter would immediately melt so have to eat it cold. The bread isn't that crispy but there's still a minimal level of crisp, red bean and butter provided was quite thick and salty enough. For $2.80 a bun, it's adequate enough if you want something sweet & savoury.

The best garlic cream cheese shio pan ever!! They have so many shio pan flavours and I was so tempted to try all cause everything looked amazing! Also shout out to the female staff who so kindly offered to help with picking the bread that I wanted cause she saw that I was struggling with a big box in one hand and holding the bread tray and tong in another hand -- it made my day, thank you so much!!!

I waited almost 20 mins for my waffles just for them to be soggy and not up to standard, I've always loved the waffles from swee heng but the waffles at this somerset branch is just not it. Service was also not very good and floor was extremely slippery, almost slipped and despite staff being aware of slippery floor, they did not bother to dry it. I worry especially for elderly and very young children whose bones may be more fragile and if they fall the injury could be severe. I hope management can train the staff to be more proactive and be more cautious as this neglectance may cause injuries or even a life. Don't think I will be visiting this branch again anytime soon due to my negative experience.
