Everything we ordered was properly done. From the calamari, cockles, mussels to the platter of seafood. All the sauces that accompany each dish were on point, seafood were all fresh. Server was friendly and prompt, attentive too.

Food is ok but not the most shiok. Crabs were not cracked at all so it was quite hard to eat them, even with the tools. We had to hammer it on the table. Chili crab sauce and butter herb sauce are nice, I like that the sampan is heated to keep the food hot. Mix the macaroni in the sauce after finishing the seafood!

Little did I know that it's by COW. Meaning it's just an atas version of it so called with the sampan concept as a novelty. We ordered a custom sampan, with crab and lobster in herb and butter sauce. The crab is fresh with lots of succulent meat, but can't say so for the lobster seems like it's frozen. The sauce is suitable for kids, but there are no sides like potatoes or corn like COW. Other items on the menu was not available, the fried items and skewers. Apart from the timed discount Given 3-430 25% off, the ambience for the win plus the heated sampan other than that I'll rather dine at any other COW.

I believe we have a worst experience and this is the first time, I have rated a 1 star for a food review. We arrived at the restaurant at 11am and was told that they are not open as opening. So we decided to explore Jewel and come back later. When we were back at the restaurant at 11.25am, we were attended by 1 staff (a trainee) and was told they were fully booked if we did not make any reservations. This trainee was really rude and unfriendly, he is definitely not suitable to be in F&B service. Another staff Brian was very helpful to arrange a table for us. When we are placing our order, we were told fried rice was not ready so we can’t order any set with fried rice. While waiting for us to be served, the manager told the trainee to replenish same items in the cabinet where they placed all their cutlery. This trainee threw the big box on the floor and as we sat next to it, my friend got a shock. He used a fork to cut open the box and he put that fork back together with other cutlery. My goodness, I really question the hygiene of this restaurant. Taste of food was below average especially spices on their skewers. The clam doesn’t taste fresh, their seafoods taste like frozen and really disappointing. The yam doesn’t have the taste of yam and the broth of the noodle, doesn’t have any flavour in it beside milk. Overall experience was terrible and disappointing. I will not recommend this restaurant. I’m really surprised with those reviews for this restaurant rated 4.5 or 5 stars. I hope these are genuine reviews. I’m suppose to give 0 star but unfortunately, min is 1 star.

Love love LOVE this place! Food was delivered relatively fast and it was AMAZING! Got the Herb and Butter as my main sauce and ordered a side of the Chili Crab Sauce. Both were amazing! Already looking forward to coming back for more 😇

First time trying Sampanman and we were extremely satisfied with the food. We ordered the shellfish sampan and all the seafood was fresh. The herb and butter sauce was tasty as well as the chilli crab sauce we ordered on the side. One thing to note though, was that our dinner reservation was at 7 pm, but most of the sides on the stick like the mushroom and so on were not available. Had a great overall experience and will definitely be back in the future.

Came for weekday dinner. Was attracted by the cheaper option of the sea bass soup bee Hoon 13++ and fish soup set $15++. The sea bass bee Hoon soup is good. Tasty and good soup with 3-4 pieces of fried sea bass. Soup tends to get a little salty towards the end. Wasn’t too fishy which is good. The fish soup with rice set came with wing joints and veg with balecan. There’s less fish in the soup but it’s made up for with all the additional stuff. And it goes very well with rice. I would recommend this set to the bee Hoon soup since the difference is $2. Overall, not bad for just these items. I’m sure the seafood options are equally good from the reviews.

Celebrated my wedding anniversary here - never regret and might be coming back for more. The staff are fast and swift. Food served in a zippy, hot and fresh. Subsequent order staff was fast to oblige. Love the food to the fullest each and every bite. So did my family.

Reserved a table for 6+1 on a Sunday (6pm). The food is delicious and the service staff are excellent. The Har Cheong Fried Squid and fried bun are 👍. For the sampan, we ordered it with the chili crab sauce, which is good, but I find it a bit too spicy. However, I find that the restaurant space are very cramped, which affected the overall ambiance.

Had a great experience celebrating my mums birthday. Though i find the price on a high side. Sampan can be heated, so the sauce stays warm. Delicious sauce . There's a few choices of sauce. Black pepper chilli crab, etc. Different price for different sampan. Can customise to add crabs or lobsters. I took the 2-3pax sampan and added 1 piece of 40gram crab. Crab was fresh. They also have ala carte menus like egg fried rice and bee hoon soups and skewers. Comes with very good quality wet tissue and gloves. Also, plastic bibs. Seafood was fresh. Drinks served on those stainless steel cups .. very refreshing. Drinks are expensive. Dasani water at sgd3. Small bottle of coke at sgd5 Overall, nice experience! I paid sgd160 for us 3 pax. One sampan ,2 white rice, 4 pcs mantous, one plain macroni and 2 drinks Staff was not rude but could do better at how they responded. Maybe try to be more tactful when responding as customers do not work at your restaurant. They ask questions because they are not sure of certain things. Not because they are stupid.

Service was great, but disappointed that we ordered the salted egg flavour. 5 mins diving into our food the sauce had lumped up.. became like scrambled egg sauce. Also the macaroni would be great if we have the option to swap it out to something else. For the 2-3pax seafood boat can be eaten by 4 pax

Ordered a few dishes, 2 Coke Zero and lemon with sour plum yoghurt. Chilli crab sauce was delicious. The scallop Beehoon soup was surprisingly tasty. A bit pricey but the ambience and service was good. Was impressed that the waiter helped us to crack the crab claws as we were not able to do it.

Decent quality seafood we ordered the Shellfish sampan, the dish was presented really impressively in a long sampan. The salted egg yolk sauce was spicy, however after a while on heat the sauce started to clump up and it didn’t taste as good anymore. Also personally it felt jelak after a while of eating with this sauce, would pick a different sauce if I were to visit here again.

What a wonderful seafood feast! We ordered the sampan seafood for 3-4pax and selected sambal chili with eggs sauce. It’s a great dish. Besides that, we have tried their specialties mihun with truffle butter milk soup! The mihun portions are pretty a lot! The yoghurt drinks taste good too!

First time try. The chilli crab sampan (we chose the XL size which is meant for 3-4 pax) and the seabass bee hoon soup were really delicious! The only thing is that the price is on the high side. But the quality of the food was good. 👍

Food was at best, average. Seafood was nothing spectacular. The clams were not very clean and still a little sandy. Like the other reviews, Chili crab sauce was pretty spicy. It is very over priced but expected since we are at Jewel (hence atmosphere was good). The appalling part was the lacklustre service here. The restaurant was not even at full capacity, quite empty. But the staff were not even attentive enough to clear the overflowing bins. The crabs, like the rest mentioned, were not cracked hence super hard to eat. The fish skin barely had taste.(Wondered if it’s fake fish skin) For $19, Irvin’s would be better.

Little to no service provided, all stuffs are dumped on the table and the waiters will quickly leave. Self service to order via QR code Seen more smiles from the staffs chit chatting at the counter than with customers. Chilli crab sauce is super spicy, since there wasn't any warning and no option to reduce the spice. It will be a shock for families with kids or cannot take spicy food.

Food is good. The sambal chili sauce is nice and spicy which is good to eat together with the mantou or rice. Kids love the soup which comes with coconu fragrance. Overall great experience. Seafood taste fresh. Har Cheong Squid taste great with the belachan chili sauce. As per other's reviews, definitely there is space of improvement on their staff service. Not attentive and actually letting customer to wait at counter while the staffs were standing there chit chatting.
