Been wanting to go here for a long time l just because of the name and it did not disappoint, the food was amazing I tried the steak and the batata as well as the dips. The Kunafa was so delicious I did not expect to taste a Kunafa like the ones back home in Australia 10/10. I was also surprised that there was cheese fingers in the menu although I suggested that it could be in the dessert menu if you add honey to it so it will basically be أصابع عروس which is a Ramadani dessert in the Middle East.

We were given a gift voucher for the Classic Banquet. We were told we could choose anything up to the value of the gift voucher but we stuck with the banquet, which was a great choice. This way we got to sample a bit of everything. Highlights were the cheese cigars, the meatballs and the lamb but everything was delicious. Service was wonderful and friendly also. Thank you for a great dinner.

As an entertainment vendor I had a wonderful experience working alongside the Rumi team for a wedding reception in their event space. They were accommodating and wanted to ensure the best experience. It was a beautiful atmosphere for a small wedding or other event. I look forward to my return and can highly recommend Rumi as an event space.

The food and service were absolutely amazing. Lily and Jack took great care of us. We ordered the classic banquet. Each course was brought out at the perfect time and plates were cleared away promptly. Menu highlights include the labne which is made in house, the fried cauliflower with its caramelized onion topper, and also the slow cooked lamb, but truly everything was absolutely delicious When Jack saw me looking at the artwork with the Arabic words, he brought over a book with poems by Rumi to explain what the artwork and the restaurant's namesake was. Overall this restaurant just has great ambience and a really personal touch. We can't speak highly enough! Also it's very easy to get to as it's literally right next to the 96 tram on Nicholson street as you enter the Coles plaza.

Empress said she booked RUMI for our weekend makan out. Malaysian restaurant? Turned out to be a middle eastern (Lebanese) restaurant. Was celebrating the Jan and Feb birthday babies and there are 4 of them. So they had the privi to order whatever was on the menu. After makaning...someone said "we ate nearly everything in the menu." Of course la...no need to pay and yours truly had to do the honour. Lol.
