Their lunch sets is the pretty much affordable. Cajun chicken set fir $6.40. Chicken is not that big but this price for western set meal with lots of fried & coleslaw, I think it’s value for $$. I don’t know much about Cajun but love their coleslaw & cheesy chicken. Worth to try at least once. Btw, try to avoid 12 to 12:30 though they will honestly tell you 30 mins waiting time.

Was very excited when they moved back into the neighbourhood but haven’t had time to try after hearing about the queues. I remember their affordable steaks very fondly and was pumped when opportunity presented itself for us to go. But alas! They must have changed the recipe as it wasn’t as flavourful as I remembered - while well cooked, the meat was looking so much paler. The lamb and fish and chip were ok and quite value for monies and we also ordered a vital burger takeaway. Frankly am more than a little disappointed given all the wonderful experiences I had before they were sold off and bought back again.

Great to see Botak Jones made a comeback. The portions were really huge. Taste was decent but food quality was, unfortunately, lacking. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the prices were missing on the menu or maybe they were just not conspicuous.

Slightly pricier than regular western places but the portion makes up for it. The fries are a bit spicy but very tasty! The Cajun chicken would have been nicer without the cheese as the cheese hardens real quick.

Came back here for nostalgia reason when we dined here, prior to Botak Jones shifted. Chance upon and decided to be back to support after many years. Base on price paid, portion is still reasonable. Price is not listed on the flip through menu, but at the side of the stall. Only have one type of steak, Rib-eye is available for order. Staff suggested tender meat to go for medium-well done. The beef on the botak burger set was a tad dry, not juicy. Cajun fries is spicy powder, we preferred the powder they used in the past which was more addictive. Portion for fish & steak can be shared for non-big eaters. Mushroom soup is flavorful, but we prefer much less pepperish. For us probably will try the other outlet we have never been too since base on reviews have free parking.

Been a while since I had Botak Jones & happy that my family enjoyed the meal. Great that they have lite menus for small eaters & kids, perfect for us! Medium rare steak was nice on its own w/o the sauce, a little chewy for the kids though. Lamb was a tad dry & similarly a juicer burger patty would have been perfect! That said, the mushroom soup was packed with mushroom slices, yums! All in a pretty good meal at decent prices, the kids are looking forward to returning! 😋

Very disappointing to wait for 30 min for my order and then still get the soggy fries and hard chicken which seems to be not warm anymore. Went there with lots of hopes of good attitude and nice quality of food. But unfortunately both turned me down. Suggest to eat there itself so that you see what you get. I got it take away just up to nearby place and realised the truth of the pack. Maybe it is good and I will try to eat there itself next time.

Perhaps I had too high expectations. The menu was interesting though. Got the Cajun chicken and fish and chips lite sets, which were actually quite economical. The sides were way better than the mains. We got the Cajun fries, cheese potato, mushroom soup and baked beans. Mushroom soup was great, the others were interesting, felt much fuller from those than the mains. Cajun chicken, the sauce tasted weird, and the cheese was not doing its job, quite hard. Fish and chips were normal. Also we waited for half an hour though we were one of the first in the queue. I think the fish and chicks chain do much better hawker western. But might come here just to get some of the sides though.

Came by Depot Lane outlet the other day and ordered the Norwegian Salmon Fillet for dinner. Size of the fish was alright but the sides were alot, which was good. Cajun fries had the right amount of spice and the coleslaw was tasty. The salmon went well with the basil garlic cream sauce. Though the food was satisfying, the salmon fillet had some bones. Kudos to the staff who acknowledged my feedback and made amends promptly. Dispite this incident, I would return to dine at Botak Jones.

Come here after lunch hours or dinner hours. The queue is crazy during lunch. Nice Western food options at reasonable prices. Will recommend.

Sept2023 Finally tried their bbq chicken. Lite eater portion just nice for me. I think i still prefer their signature Cajun chicken. This outlet is at a older generation canteen so the upkeeping of the premises by the cleaner not to standard, but is a nice quiet place if you dislike crowd Older post Open only at 5pm. Likely this place no queue and almost free parking

Can’t remember the last time I had Botak Jones so pleasantly surprised to find it at this food place at depot road! There isn’t much of any service as the ordering system is via a digital kiosk which is quite convenient to be honest, the machine takes credit card as well which is great. The food is as good as i rmb Botak jones to be. The Cajun chicken, and chicken gumbo were solid, great o’ western finds. The place is spacious, with additional seats at the side, mostly crowded with army personnel during lunch time but gets relatively quiet past lunch time.

Hot Dog (SGD $11.50, $15.50) @ Botak Jones / Original Botak Jones. . Founded in 2003 by Bernard 'Botak' Allen Utchenik, this casual western chain has made several comebacks from their peak in 2009. . Served within fluffy soft buns with bready sweet flavour, their 22 centimetre chicken sausage is snappy and juicy with meaty salty sweet flavour and no fillers. . Dressed with crisp white onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and creamy mustard for a sharp spicy sour kick. . Or, dressed with chunky minced beef chili with crisp diced white onions, carrying meaty salty savoury vegetal sweet spice flavour. . Served with crunchy chilled coleslaw with vegetal milky sweet flavour, and hot crisp cajun spiced potato fries with starchy sweet spice salty flavour.

Botak Jones - Depot Road Happy to see them still around but the pricing and portion is no longer special. There are too many competitors now. Serving time during lunch time is long. Memories continue to be memories, I wouldn’t say they got worse, rather some new kids have just brought in new competition. Overall, better than your usual fish and chips, there are other better ones out there! #foodreview #botakjones #fishandchips

Ordered a double burger set for my son, came with his choice of fries and mushroom soup. Food was fantastic, juicy and thick beef patty that puts MacD to shame. The soup was thick and creamy, almost like you’re taking mushroom pasta sauce with generous mushrooms slices in it. The ambience is like a factory canteen, more could be done for ventilation even though a gigantic fan is above, the air is still very hot at 2pm plus on a Saturday afternoon.
