Metta Cafe (Halal & Vegetarian) was established in 2014 to provide F & B vocational training, for Metta School graduates aged 18 and above with mild intellectual disability and/or autism. Open to Public - Monday to Sunday (except Public Holidays) 7am to 5pm. They cater eggless cakes and pastries for corporate and private events. A gift shop of Batik Arts by students. *Bus No. 12 and others in front of building. Ample parking inside building.

Cozy cafe located in Metta Welfare association that serves a variety of vegetarian fare at reasonable priced. Bought a couple of their CNY goodies. Eggless butter almond: Almonds provide a good crunchy texture contrast. Cookies were not too sweet.

Good Cafe with most of the beg options at affordable rates. Not much rush, so can have food nicely with good ambiance. Just opposite Melville Park bus stop, easily reachable to have snacks and lunch. Only demerit, closes by 5pm eve. I visited many times and found useful, hardly 2-3 options for lunch but snacks you will find many options. Just behind bus stop.

Located inside the Metta building, the cafe runs on a non-profit basis. Entirely vegetarian, right from bakery items to other dishes, it is a very good place to try and explore local dishes. They serve various season/festival specific dishes too (e.g. Lo Hei). Try their Laksa, Veggie Rice dishes, Dumplings etc. Economical and filling. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and comfortable. They have a specific space for parties too. Open 8 to 5.

Nice place to dine in, air-conditioned, nice food, reasonably priced, wide varieties, at the same time doing charity as this cafe is setup to help the students of the Metta school to have a place to work n practice. A great place for those who like to eat vegetarian food.

The food tastes very home-cooked. Not too greasy or oily, which I like. The cafe is spacious and usually quite empty during breakfast hours, with elevator music playing softly overhead. It's a nice, chill neighborhood getaway. The staff are nice and polite, but don't expect the service to be fast. It's not that kinda place.

The food is good, tastes similar of not better than your good hawker stalls. But this in addition, have a more meaningful purpose. Food are prepared by the population with special needs.

Had a hearty meal at the cafe. Ordered Lei Cha, Turmeric Rice and Hor Fun. They taste delicious. Staff managing the cafe were polite and very proactive introducing their menu. Ended my meal with their cookies. They are buttery and not so sweet. Support Metta Cafe!

Everyone should come to try the food and support for a good cause. Food variety is plenty. I tried their economical rice & ordered the olive fried rice. Both tasted really yummy. And the service, EXCEPTIONAL. The staff are polite n even thank you for.coming to support them. Aaaaw, my heart melted 💕 I'll definitely want to be back to try the other food on the menu 😊

I have been a loyal customer in metta cafe but the short hair and plump aunty with glasses has gone from bad to worse. Her attitude is always rude but we always endure with it as we are dining in a temple and we learn to maintain things with peace. But today, she is really over board when I asked if the mixed rice still available and she threw a remark " can't u see it is all sold out". Then she was impatient as I then have to order the other food on the menu and she shouted" can you decide already as I have a lot of work to do".i just cannot believe for such individual to work in a temple that she cannot find her inner peace and behave working in the cafe in a temple.

A quiet corner in the Simei-Tampines area. Plenty of vegetarian options available. Just have to explore!

There is one chef (I don't know who) who is a GEM. Cooks amazing hor fan on certain days. Seriously amazing. Easily the best hor fan and ingredients I had. Good taste, good fire control. Nice balance and flavour! Highly highly recommend!!!!

It is a non profit organization, you can help to support needy youth. But don't go there just thinking of helping people. The food is pleasant and is a lot affordable same price as usual eating house. The food provides only vegan/vegetarian cuisine but quite tasty. There is place which sell T shirt and handcraft make by special need youth.

Relatively quiet place with air-con. Food is decent, and not very oily ! + point Price slightly exp compared to hawker centre, but comparable pricing to vegetarian options outside nowadays. Menu has many options (including vegetarian western option) Can drop by if you are in the area for healthy vegetarian options. Also, it's for a good cause!
