We liked Mackenzie Rex so much that we ended up coming here twice during our stay in Singapore — and that probably says it all! 😄 For anyone looking for halal Hainanese chicken rice, this place is definitely worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable for Singapore, and for Indonesians, another convenient bonus is that you can pay using QRIS. 🇮🇩 We ordered quite a lot of dishes, and honestly, everything was a hit. The food came out surprisingly quickly too, which was great especially when we were hungry after walking around Singapore. The restaurant can get quite crowded during lunch and dinner, so I’d recommend coming a little earlier if you want to avoid the rush. What brought us back for the second visit was simply the whole combination: good food, halal, reasonable prices, quick service, and great value for money. It also happened to be just a couple of minutes’ walk from our hotel, which made it even better. Definitely one of those easy, satisfying meals that we’d happily repeat. We’ll absolutely come back if we visit Singapore again! ❤️

I was disappointed with my recent visit. When we were ready to place our order, we were not given an order sheet with the QR/code as other customers usually receive. Instead, we had to write our order manually on a blank piece of paper, which felt disorganized. The food was also not as good as before. It lacked flavor and tasted quite bland. Additionally, the chili sauce was served in an old, worn-out bottle, which did not give a good impression. The service at the end of our visit was also disappointing. As we were leaving, I held the door open for the rest of my family to exit. Even though the waiters were standing right next to the door, one of them asked my aunt to close it instead of assisting us. It came across as unfriendly and left us with a negative final impression. Overall, the service and food quality have declined compared to our previous visits. I hope the management will look into these issues and improve the customer experience.

Best Halal Chinese food restaurant in Singapore. Look no further. If you order Fries Rice, go for the spicy one. Their roasted chicken is the best. The food has been consistent for more than 20 years.

Good for family occasions. Nice food and affordable. We've been eating here for more than 10 years and the taste have been consistent so far.

Hor fun was not hor fun, plain no egg type gravy. Hotplate and claypot chicken are the same dish except for different type of placement! Cheated my feelings!
