Scam advertisement. Bus stop and MRT advertisements clearly show that Kawan Kitchen at Queenstown MRT 02-01 is offering 60c bee hoon in the month of October, but outlet staff insists otherwise and wants to charge 250% of that amount even despite being shown the promotional photo. Refuse to support or patronise such a dishonest and deceitful vendor.

Bought a meal and a water chestnut drink. I asked for less ice and even paid for it. Drink was only 3/4 full and it tasted like the drink has gone bad. Then I remembered that the lady took the drink from somewhere else instead of pouring out of a jar from the fridge like the other times.

I ordered a Nasi Lemak dish for Tao Bao (takeaway). I was deeply appalled by the filthy cutlery there! As you can see in 1 of my photos, there’s even a dead bug in the cutlery! The cutlery is also used by customers who dine there.

The Chinese Aunty got my takeaway order wrong! I ordered Nasi Lemak Set A and she gave me Mee Siam instead. As I didn’t stay near there, I had to go back there the next day to tell her the issue. And she scolded me for the mistake she made! If you order any takeaway from them, be sure to check it inside the box before leaving.

Tldr I gave 4 stars for all aspect, so why 5 star total? The place has a chill staff and relaxed vibe. Very friendly for all. Not the most economical but good in a tight spot for quick fuss-free food.
