Good ventilation even though next to fish soup store. Ordered laksa and a coffee. Laksa 5.50 half an egg, one tau pol, few slices of fish cake. Soup barely covering top of coarse noodles. Only the chili paste was nice. Coffe too sweet. Not worth the money for laksa, will avoid in future seriously.

Kitty was craving some Mee Tai Mak, so we headed to Encik Tan at Oasis. We were a little disappointed to discover this smaller location didn't offer it, unlike their other branches. But, the restaurant had a really cosy and inviting atmosphere that made up for it. Even though it's a small space, the bright lighting, clean lines, and light wood tables and chairs create a modern and welcoming feel. It's definitely a casual and functional spot, perfect for a quick meal. The light colour scheme and tiled counter add a touch of visual interest, while the neatly arranged tables contribute to a sense of orderliness. Overall, it's a clean and efficient eatery with a minimalist vibe. I decided to just have a cup of coffee while Kitty went for the fishball mincemeat noodle. She found her dish to be acceptable but not exceptional. What's interesting about this Encik Tan location is that they don't serve any curry rice. They only sell noodles. Despite the food being a bit underwhelming, the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, while the limited menu might be a drawback for some, Encik Tan at Oasis is still a charming spot with good service.

Encik Tan at Oasis: A Cozy but Limited Experience Rating Breakdown: • Atmosphere: 3.5/5 stars - Cozy and inviting. • Service: 4/5 stars - Friendly and efficient. • Food: 3/5 stars - Fishball mincemeat meepok was acceptable but not exceptional. Review: Donkey and I recently visited Encik Tan at Oasis. I was craving Mee Tai Mak, but this smaller location didn't offer it, a disappointing discovery given the more extensive menus at other branches. Despite this, the cozy and inviting atmosphere made for a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the fishball mincemeat meepok, which was acceptable but not exceptional. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, while the limited menu was a drawback, the charming atmosphere and friendly service made it a worthwhile, if somewhat limited, visit.

If you don’t mind being half full, being short change by them, this is the place to go.
