Chicken cutlet rice $5 Pro: Value for money, aircon. hawker price. Taste okay, not bad, good enuf for me lor. Portion is good. Con: Rice and curry gravy are cold. Quality of rice not so good. I dont mind paying $6 for aircon location and if quality of rice is better n serve it hot.

Love their chicken cutlet curry rice, decent portion. 2 plates + 1 lime juice came up to $10.50 The food’s a bit greasy, and eggs are a little over fried, so taking off 1 point for that.

I patron this store quite often as it's near my office. Food is considerably okay & very affordable in my opinion. However, the service is almost always horrible from the ladies mending the noodles counter. Definitely need training for the staff.

It must be challenging times as my colleague ordered the chicken curry rice and was literally given 3 to 4 thin STRIPS of cut up cutlets. Too shocked to take a pic. Would not go back to this outlet at kallang wave mall. Service was very slow too. Gone were the days of good service and good food here.

Encik Tan serves a variety of hawker food such as fishball noodle, wonton noodle, laksa, and rice set option. This outlet is located at Kallang Wave Mall. We had lunch here before attending a concert in National Stadium Singapore. The dishes for rice set are already cooked, so you will directly get your order after the payment. I tried Chicken Cutlet Set (SGD 4,3). It's a plateful of warm rice, chicken cutlets, sunny side up egg, and vegetables, topped with curry sauce. Overall, the food tastes good with generous portion and very affordable price. A great option if you're looking for halal food since they already got MUIS halal certificate.

I've tried the Chicken curry set with ice bandung. Taste, 4/5: Normal average chicken curry, the spices is not to strong and the chicken is not too flavorful, but worth to try if you passing by the restaurant. Presentation, 4/5 : Very appetizing Texture, 4/5: The chicken is not too tender, not that crunchy outside, the rice is normal not too mushy and not too dry. Location, 5/5: Inside Kallang wave mall, accessible with Stadium MRT Service, 4/5: fast and efficient service Type: Singaporean food. Price: Very cheap as the same as hawker food price even it's inside a mall Atmosphere/Ambience: modern place and bit crowded. Notes: Halal food

Absolutely love their chicken cutlet set! i personally call this the halal version of the famous Scissors Cut Curry Rice. a couple of feedbacks is that the chick cutlet and curry portions are inconsistent. sometimes they give you a little bit more chicken, sometimes less. sometimes topped with generous amount of curry and sometimes not. even when i told the staff to give me more curry, they wouldn’t do so… maybe they didn’t hear me? anyway, good flavourful and tasty. highly recommended!

Saw the "must try" menu item ie Fried Fish Set and gave it a try. To my dismay, the actual dish is so different from the photo and my expectation. Except for the curry, veg and rice is ok, the fish was fried "battered" fish (not the homely pan fried which was also shown on photo. The fried egg was misrepresented too instead of a sunny side up as illustrated. Please refer to my photos and you will understand. I guess it's the cook laziness to do the proper way it was meant to be. Even the simple teh o is tasteless. What a disappointing lunch.

Value for money, curry rice (w chicken cutlet) almost always hits the spot, the pairing of curry sauce, savoury chicken cutlet, and the fried egg is close to perfection especially given its price. Atmosphere during peak hours is not too bad unlike prior reviews this place received. Edit: Fried egg was perfectly watery in the inside as well, contrary to expectations.

Ordered the noodle set 5. Fishball is over cooked. Noodle is tasteless. Lousy food. My first review. No more Encik Tan and it's franchise for me in future.

This restaurant is not kids friendly, there is no menu for kids and if you bring food for your kid from outside just because your kid doesn't like the menu at this restaurant, don't expect tolerance from the waiter even though you have ordered a lot of food from this restaurant, be prepared to be scolded and shouted at in front of many people by a waiter who wearing a hijab and glasses, and she doesn't care if your kids are hungry or not.

Food is ok, not amazing/delicious. Used cutlery were stacking up in the stall but nobody was washing or cleaning it. Overall hygiene is bad tables aren't cleaned. Another patron spilled water on the floor and it wasn't cleaned up at well. Oily smell in the air. But seems to be for the whole KWM alley.

Spacious n clean, not noisy coz it's off-peak. Ordered a dry premium minced meat noodles $7 n kopi tarik $1+ (I forgot). Fried wanton is stale. Liked d hotate n fried fish (扁鱼) added for premium. Aunty asked some questions to confirm my order of mee kia +chilli +vinegar -spring onion. She explained no ketchup is added if chilli is opted in. She double confirmed if vinegar is ok. She omitted d spring onion fr my bowl of soup but added a big handful into my bowl of noodles?! Kopi tarik is just normal kopi. No foam. n yes, it's made by d v fierce staff who doesn't smile even when I smile at her.

VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW. Obviously most of the workers don't give a damn how long the customer waits. All take their own sweet time. Young Malay Lady Staff seems consistently determined to be rude as a principle. Noodles are good though. And the Chinese staff are more service oriented. Management should observe whether what I mentioned is true.

I ordered the fried fish set. The actual fish is much smaller than the picture cos it was very thickly coated with batter, making it look bigger than it actually is. Curry is ok, cabbage veg is too overcooked n soggy. I guess with egg, veg and fish at this price is pretty reasonable.

Queue was a bit long at that time since there was an event in the stadium, especally for noodle menu. We've ordered Fishball Noodle, Chicken Curry Rice, and Teh Tarik. Overall taste was a bit bland, including the teh tarik. The curry actually quite tasty, but I think they should put more curry sauce there. I heard that their Laksa is good enough, but didn't manage to try it. Overall it is a value-for-money option, the price is affordable with fulfilling portion. And they're halal certified too!
