One of the biggest, if not the biggest Encik Tan with the widest variety. Laksa could be spicier, but that’s to each preference! Rather fragrant though. Lor Mee is ok, a little too jelak after finishing the whole bowl. Signature noodles and curry rice are the 2 dishes from Encik Tan that can’t really go wrong. Carrot cake is surprisingly good! Slightly on the wet side, but taste is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Update — CKT has a nice char and wokhei to it, worth the price point Update!! My favourite will have to be the carrot cake/char kway teow/claypot stall. Nice wokhei, charring and flavours for a decent price point

I like the food, have been to sg 2 times and i always going to encik tan bcs i like the food, especially the chicken cutlet set. The service juat fine. The have separate cashier for every menu. So if you want to buy food and drink you need to buy it separately

Staff gave a rolled eye welcome when taking order. Ordered Chicken Cutlet Rice but gotten a spoon full of curry, leaving the rest of the plate dry. Poor service.

not bad. so far i had the wanton mee and lor mee, both quite nice. price and portion was reasonable also considering that it is in a shopping mall.

Outlet at Marina Square. Was disappointed with the claypot rice, lots of soya sauce, 5 pieces of small chicken cubs and that’s it. It look plain, no vegetable, no spring onion very pathetic.

Just got intimidated by a male staff tending the the curry rice section, seemingly a foreign talent whose attitude is the worst I ever come across. Not only he refused to pour curry sauce upon my request but tossed the plate of rice (without curry sauce) to me and raised his voice at me said “no cant give”! Immediately I asked for the manager and he added the curry sauce but can’t be bothered to apologize for staff rudeness. At the same time the staff keep raising his voice in Chinese in the background. What was wrong with this guy?? As if he was doing his job for free?? And vented his anger at customers??!! While eventually sat down having my below par curry rice, I heard him shouting at the crowd to queue properly. WTH! Would never want to set my foot in there again! And be forewarned for unruly behavior from this guy!

1. Clean place probably because it is early in the morning. 2. Get very decent local breakfast and lical delights here and feel satisfied. 3. I had a red bean paste bun and a cup of tea. Total damage was $2.10. 4. This is a halal food and drink outlet Hopefully things stay this way

This place is quite bad. You stand there in front of the noodles store for several minutes... and when you finally decide what you want, the uncle behind the counter tells you that they're closed.... if you don't check Google, it's unlikely you'll know that they're closed as the place is still brightly lit, and Popeye's is still open. The tables here are quite dirty too. I can understand why hardly anyone is eating here.......

Encik tan always have authentic local delights with halal certificate. Having my lunch here everyday for almost two weeks. 😡Unfortunately, today I received very bad service at Marina Square outlet 11:50am, cashier staff at fishball noodles has passing comment about me right in front of me by using Malay language which I understood what is she talking about, that's something not acceptable in F&B industry and it's truly upset me.

There on 6.5.22 @1.35pm for lunch.. Feeling scammed & cheated (where's the meats) one of many reasons I don't recommend them. Asked staff where's the meat for #3 Ee-mee I'd paid & told it's in the soup & no more chilli when requested for some. BTW.. their foods tasted terrible to swallow. Don't eat there again & you best think twice before giving them your $$$. #Encik Tan.

I wonder does the management people see this rating and feedback. Though i love their curry rice and frequent customer to them. But was shocked when i order the iced grass jelly. They gave me the cup that you can't shake at all, because of the sweetness... worst part, they don't provide straws.. Then please, tell me how to drink grass jelly in a iced cup??? I turned back to question the wait staffs how to drink? She smiled back at me and say boss didn't provide straws. If they intend to go green and save on straws is fine. Then don't have such drinks menu that put us in a spot. Really felt the money is wasted buying this drink..

If I could, I'd put zero stars. Most bland-tasting soup I've ever had. I was intentional in having bland noodles but didn't expect the soup to be equally bland. The amount of minced meat was like a table spoon's worth. Egg was unexpectedly the cooked type. Scallop is a premium in the dish but doesn't look too fresh. And it's all 8.50. Never again.

Super sad life. Only 6:40pm, ordered fish soup- staff said no more. Order Mee Pok, staff said no more. Order kwayteow noodle, staff say no more noodle. Want to order squid rice, staff say no more squid… open for? Gosh! And the lady chef for noodle might as well don’t work! Super attitude. The lady in front of me just asked not to put spring onions and she got glared at! This is by far the worst encik tan… just down size the shop. No point open such a huge one, and so many items unavailable. Tray return area is over flowing… super dirty. Presentation of meat dishes is very poor and hazard too. It’s a disaster. It’s a no-no for my family here.

Ordered the curry chicken cutlet rice ($5.50). Food looks very generous but the cutlet was smaller than my palm. Cutlet was burnt and food was very oily. Service by the staff was not that great as well and it didn't seem like they were happy to serve
